"this is definitely a jewel in a large part of a big city! first, the gm greeted us at the door and imagined; she was friendly and personal and considered where we wanted to sit and what kind of evening. we wanted. My hubby and I sat at the bar and let me tell you it's a great place to sit. barstools, they believe it or not, are somehow a big thing haha. they were very comfortable, and we had a great look at all their interesting bottles and we need to do some of the best barkeepers in toronto their stuff. the drink menu! you must the jasmine and take her on an old fashion. marvellous glass clothing, edible flowers and all! sitting on the bar, they see other mozens walking on their cute terrace, they can see them in the kitchen, and see how happy people come in the entrance door to meet the gm. great. Oh, did I mention that the chef came to talk to us about their new menu? so fun. I can't believe I haven't even talked about eating! the food is amazing. farm fresh, kreatiw, delicious. they have this corn app (confide me! you have to taste mais, maisnibblets and sharp paprika. absolutely delish! but our favourite dish must have been their fried chicken plate! hooo mama was so good. first, it's a whole huh, so bring at least one friend and an appetit to finish this. second, the huh was even buttery and sexy and fritted to perfection. third, the garnish was soouu good: plucked daikon radishes, cut and picked carrots, fresh salad to become kreatiw, and a spicy mayo that just fills them up, head to foot, with luck. oh, and the truffle friries weep! unnecessary to say the menu is interesting, contemplative and unbelievable. if we lived in this part of the city, maple leaf tavern would be our local irrigation hole, but also a regular date night for fantastic eating and a great mood. we will come back without doubt. 1000% recommend!"

"This was our first experience with this restaurant and we are new to the community. My husband booked a reservation for 6 pm on Valentines Day. He as ked to be seated in a quiet tucked away part of the restaurant if possible- we were seated at the last booth at the kitchen entrance. There was curse words every few minutes. The booth had duct tape holding it together. The staff were not that helpful in recommending food, with the exception of the $50 dinner special, she even said she was to push that option . After 2 attempts to get recommendations from the staff on food and waiting several minutes to choose, we were told the option that I wanted was the only thing on the menu that was sold out . Why didn 't she say that when she knew we were looking to choose an entrée and we specifically said we weren 't interested in the special. So while I tried to find another choice, we ordered the artichoke dip. Dip implies something thick enough to dip onto the pita bread it was served with. What we got was a clearly separated soup. It was so liquidy that it ran off the chips and bread. Then we realized that there was a musician, who wasn 't very good and was pretty loud, directly to the right of us on a balcony. Needless to say we decided to call it quits and leave. As people who are foodies and love to eat out, this was disappointing. You should know your menu. You should always divulge what is sold out, so that the customer doesn 't get their hopes up. Seat people in areas they request. Always check the quality of the food you are sending out! If it isn 't good or right, let us know and I can accept that. Don 't just send **** stuff out and hope we don 't catch it. This is definitely a place to go drink craft beers and enjoy a bar atmosphere, not a date place or a special night kind of thing. We went to Maude 's and it was amazing from start to finish!"

"Had a reservation for 830pm today November 1. Got soda that tasted like the post mix water line filter has not been cleaned. I spoke to the waitress who said she couldn’t do anything about it then got me another drink which tasted just as bad. We could not drink the sodas. We waited one hour for our food and were horrified to find that the 7 meals sitting on the pass for the previous 30 minutes were ours. Our waitress was nowhere to be seen. There were 6 waiters pulling the burgers apart to see which ones were for their table. They were pulling the food down, putting it back up, swapping it around between themselves and nobody had a clue what they were doing. Then the missing waitress who was too busy playing on her phone finally came out and served the food that had been rooted through and sitting on the pass for all that time. We were so disgusted that we told the waitress we would not be eating that food. She offered to have the food re-made but we declined as we would have waited another hour and did not want to see the same thing happen. I have NEVER in my entire life seen food so mishandled and seen staff that are too busy stuffing around instead of tending to the customer. Hence we got up and I offered to pay for the drinks but the waitress said not to and we walked out. If I was the owner of this restaurant I would be mortified. They lost revenue of 7 customers. I had booked this restaurant months ago for my family visiting from overseas. We ended up eating at IHOP where the service was excellent, the food was great and the waiter could not have been more friendly. Send your staff to IHOP for training."
