"I was in some gangster theatre theaters over the years and Tommy Gun's garage goes to the top of the list. I loved the situation was done in real 'speakeasy' fashion. There are no signs that advertise the venue and it is a very simple looking building facade. I was told that it was built on the grounds where BiG Jim Colosimo had his restaurant back the day. Knowing the secret password was a nice note. The interior is decorated with a collection of photographs, newspapers and props from time and from 'The Untouchables' film and 1990 TV series. I loved the oldtimer and the phone booth! I found the staff and the players very friendly and attentive. Most of them also double as entertainment songs from well-known movies and Broadway shows how 'Robin and the Seven Hoods', 'Guys and Dolls' and, of course, 'Chicago'. The food was pretty good. I had the Minestrone soup with The Kingpin Prime Rib with a baked potato. Later on a cannoli for dessert. It is the attention to detail that helps to create the atmosphere of the 1920s. At previous dinners theaters were buffet style with a few choices that are not correct....(i.e. chicken wings). The personal service and the warmth of the players made themselves comfortable in the surroundings. At the end of the night I even got a photo with most players. Tommy Gun's garage, I'm sure you're swell."
