"I had to wait until my food was on the way because I was afraid of food contamination, and this needs to be said. They called to charge me a dollar after asking for extra sides of ginger dressing. My order was over $80.00. It was a five minute call because I couldn't find my debit card. If the food is out of this world amazing I will reconsider maybe but nickle and diming me when I am paying over 20% tip? That's a NO from me from now on."

"If you enjoy watching chefs cook right in front of you, then this is the place to be! The chefs put on an excellent show while you enjoy your meal right before your eyes. The sushi here is also top-notch, with a wide variety of options and special rolls to choose from. I have been here several times and always find myself ordering the same delicious roll and leaving satisfied. If you leave hungry, it's your own fault! While the hibachi can be a bit pricey, it's the only hibachi experience I've had and the entertainment, interaction, and delicious food make it worth the cost. "I visited this restaurant because they stay open late. Unfortunately, the calamari was burnt and we couldn't eat it, which was very disappointing. The coconut shrimp was decent, and the takoyaki with red sauce was good. This was my second visit here, but I won't be returning. I do not recommend this place. Despite the food issues, we didn't complain because it was late at night and the waitress was pleasant."

"Very friendly staff. Drinks were refilled frequently and we were checked on multiple times. We DID sit in the booth close to the sushi bar, so it WAS inevitable we were checked on but I can say I watched them check on everyone else equally as much. The sushi was fresh and tasted great! Im ecstatic about the wednesday special: Rolls that are typically upwards of $5 were only $3.95. My Husband and I appreciated that. His normal portions are large so being able to order a higher qty while still remaining cost effective was wonderful! Overall, this place was great and the food was tasty. We'll be coming here again!"

"This place used to be the best sushi in town. I think they are under new ownership because the menu has changed and so have the people and the sushi chef. All of the servers looked like high school students. When I tried to order my usual rolls, I was told we don 't have that so I ordered my next usual again we don 't have that I replied it 's on your menu and I 've ordered it countless times before. That must be from the old menu we have a new menu. So I went in to look at the new menu and to my dismay not only had the prices gone up, but a lot of my favorite sushi items were gone. So I ordered 3 rolls, 2 new Chef 's Specials and 1 classic crunchy roll. The Bonsai Tree was short 1 piece and very small. The crunchy roll and rainbow rolls were falling apart, and the seafood taste was very bland and not quality. For the amount I paid, and from the old menu I expected a lot more out of this place. "This place is great. We came from Orange County for a concert and intended on eating on Sunset but this place was the only one without a wait. We sat at the sushi bar and had about 5 different dishes. Our chef was knowledgeable in what was fresh and gave us a couple chef 's specials . Everything tasted fresh and wonderful. Great food for half price, we were stuffed with a sake for $47 for the entire meal."

Sometimes my partner and I go crazy and will order a buck nigger (15 but today we just took it haha. our way is always the heart, toro, and hamachi toro. if available, we also get the o toro because it is soou good! that bears in your mouth! amaebi is also excellent, they will deepen the head and they can eat the whole thing. Do not forget to ask for the fresh washabi, it is fire! in any case they give this place a try!"

"Perhaps, I had too high of an expectation from both the higher Google rating and a few recommendations. As appetizers, we ordered grilled whole calamari and fried chicken. Some of the chicken were slightly undercooked and all the pieces I had has that smell when the chicken is double cooked or less fresh. The grilled calamari was dry, burned, and slightly overlooked, making some pieces hard to chew. The main was Sushi and Sashimi combo. This was more acceptable with larger fish that seemed well prepared. However, it was a bit disappointing that it didn't come with a simple salad (only miso soup)."
