"This is a lovely space with well thought out decor. We started our meal with Focaccia and Capesante (scallops appetizer) it was divine with perfectly cooked scallops and pillow soft gnocchi. The sauce was rich and earthy from the wild mushrooms perfect for dabbing up with bread.Sadly, no dabbing happened as I was not a fan of the focaccia- it was very dry and lacked in the flavor department.Our entrées: Bistecca alla Fiorentina( NY strip) and the house pasta special with littleneck clam.The steak was like butter- cooked medium rare, this cut was deliciously prepared and beautifully seasoned. Accompanied with whipped potatoes and haricot verts, this dish was a star.The pasta on the other hand was uninspiring- looked and tasted like undercooked,unflavored, packaged ramen noodles. The pasta was tabled.We completed our meal with a single espresso. Overall, the meal was lovely. We would try again, but perhaps stay away from the pasta.With a final bill of $200usd, including cocktails, it was a fair dinner.Cin cin?"

"We love La Sorella! My wife and I recently dined here for her birthday. I called earlier in the day to see about a surprise birthday dessert—my wife has a gluten allergy, and so we need to be strict about what we eat and where. The manager was immediately accommodating. She also reminded me that they also have a full gluten free menu, a rarity especially for Italian restaurants. Our dining experience was romantic, special, and quiet—the restaurant wasn't crowded when we arrived at 5pm. By the time we left at 6:30pm, it was bustling a little more. The servers were extremely attentive and kind, always staying on top of our table, refilling our waters. They surprised my wife with the gluten free chocolate torte that comes with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top—and it is so insanely delicious. This usually runs at $14.95—and it was comped by the manager. We were both extremely grateful for how kind and giving she was. We'd recommend La Sorella any day of the week! It's perfect for families and has some of the most delicious Italian food in the Chicago burbs. Head over and enjoy an authentically Italian experience!"

"I am very disappointed with this place. 20 years ago it was excellent. Now that i am back, i sat at the patio and the chairs were filthy dirty, table was not even clean and they still sat us there. Mussels came out undercook and i had to repeatedly keep telling the waitress to bring us water. I spoke with one of the managers regarding the undercooked mussels, which are a huge health code violation, and yet still has the audacity to tell me they're cooked. I hope they improve this business because from what it looks like, it won't last too long."

"We went for our wedding dinner since we had to postpone our larger celebration to 2021 and the staff made our visit extra special. "This was the most terrible experience we have experienced with a restaurant. We had reservations for Tursday September 18th at 7:30 pm and arrived at 7:45 pm only to find the restaurant closed ? We also made a courtesy phone call to notify the restaurant we were going to be 10 to 15 mins late. We commuted from Aurora to the restaurant so its about a half an hour drive. I would not recommend thia restaurant to anyone. Very disappointing. Its unfortunate for the restaurant too as this dinner was a trial to book it as a venue host a very large event this coming December. Im not sure how much longer they will be in business."

"the service and eating were excellent. ordered the lobster pasta, and was impressive, I would suggest more of a spicy on the court. I added the Parmesan cheese and that was a change of play: getting a completely new taste was the best parm I had ever tasted. the scallops and mushrooms were my least preferred. not to write. that was my first experience to eat calf meat, and I don't think I would eat it for other wise than I had prepared it at drago. was an unforgettable taste and very satisfied with all the experience"

"Everything here was pretty good. Our server was kind of busy so we did have to wait here and there, but she was attentive. I appreciated the glass barriers between the booths. And the food was also pretty good. But nothing blew us away. I definitely think it's a very good four out of five star restaurant"
