"I take no pleasure in writing negative reviews, particularly when employees are friendly and helpful, the ambience is nice, and the menu looks impressive. Our family of four had looked forward to dining at Epsilon based on the positive reviews. We ordered a variety of dishes and most everything missed the mark. The vegetarian combination platter had overcooked/dry falafel, bland stuffed grape leaves, and bland vegetables. The fried cheese (saganaki) was flavorless. I make this simple dish at home and my family mentioned that our own version is far better. The octopus appetizer was overcooked and bone dry. One member had eggplant casserole (moussaka) and said it didn't taste very good. I had fried sanddabs that were decent but accompanied with various side dishes that fought with each other and the fish. One side was cold white beans that were over seasoned. Another side was warm green beans with a smokey/somewhat burnt flavor. And another side was rice with lots of cinnamon and raisins. Most of these dishes, by themselves, would be decent... but together they made for an unpleasant assault on the palate. It was this strange mix of flavors that made me feel quite ill for a few hours following dinner."
