"A well earned 5 stars from the décor, atmosphere, service, ambiance, oh and the food was spectacular. I arrived to a not so crowded bar and decided to eat there. To my surprise, the server, Kevin, handed me menus and told me that it was their happy hour,  all drinks, tap beers and appetizers were half priced.  I had no trouble finding a parking spot on E. North Ave. I ordered spring rolls ($8 ), one beef and one shrimp,  and a Lakefront IPA, ($6) on tap.  The spring rolls arrived within 10 minutes.  These rolls were huge!  More than a meal for one.  Served with a house peanut sauce.  The overstuffed spring rolls were fresh and filled with fresh vegetables, shrimp and beef and were both very tasty,  I had half the order to go.  I ordered the Red Thai Curry ($12) with beef.  Having never tasted Black Rice, I decided to try it.  The diner arrived right on time.  Again I was impressed by the portions of the Red Curry and the  mound of Black Rice with a bit of a crunch and a faint nutty taste This was a welcome addition to the extra large bowel of Red Thai Curry filled with "Grass fed beef", bamboo shoots, bell peppers and carrots, topped with a large sprig of Thai Basil.  This dish was just a bit spicy, not too hot. The heat was just right and didn't overpower the rich flavor of the broth and fresh crisp vegetables in the Red Curry.  Overall, I couldn't more highly recommend Buddha Lounge for anyone who loves Thai food.  But the thing that will bring me back is the variety of offerings from Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Sushi and even some American items. The attentive service, and authentic flavors. were capped off by an offering of a piece of Godiva Chocolate!"

"Overall for delivery* quality, the store has potential as dishes have great flavors. But there is definitely room for improvement 3.6/5 Grilled 5 Spiced Chicken Banh Mi 3.5/5 —Note that this is not your traditional Vietnamese banh mi as you see in their flavor profiles and ingredients. I ordered the 5 spice chicken which had great flavor, but the chicken was pretty dry. I feel it’s missing the fresh prickly crunch and sweet acidity of their carrot/daikon. Their pickled veggies are sliced pretty thin and lack in acid/flavor. Note there is no pate as well, one of my fave ingredients in a banh mi. The bread was good and you can tell of its freshness by fluffy softness. Note for delivery, the outer shell of the banh mi can get soggy due to the condensation build up during travel. I appreciated the sliced jalapeño for a layer of heat Crab Ragoon 4/5 is a nostalgic guilty pleasure of mine. It’s solid. Hit the spot. Kabli Short Ribs 3/5 — was a bit disappointing due to the quantity of meat. Don’t think it’s worth for the price. 7 pieces, some dominantly bone. A little dry and overcooked. Positive was the marinade was flavorful. Broths 4/5 are very flavorful a tad on the salty side, but a good pairing with the banh mi and rice . The broth option comes with your banh mi is their vegetarian broth 8 oz . A lot more lighter and ginger centric. I ordered a Side Of Broth beef which surprisingly came in a 32 oz container. Their side portions are worth the price Side Of Jasmine Rice came with 2 serving sizes! ."
