"Years ago, my husband and I dumb-lucked into this amazing restaurant and have loved it ever since. Last night, we celebrated our anniversary outside on the covered patio, enjoying a glorious, breezy evening and luxuriating over a fabulous three-hour dinner, capped off by Sophia and Marcello on the big movie screen. We like to share everything in order to taste more dishes. We had a ball enjoying fried stuffed zucchini flowers, gnocchi affumicati, taccozzelle all' aquilana, and (omg) the porchetta. The pork stuffing in the zucchini flowers was spicier than expected, but still delicious. Both pasta dishes were wonderful, and I think we may be dreaming of the porchetta for a long time to come. A delightful white wine was suggested by our server. We had no intention of ordering dessert until we saw the menu, then we couldn't resist. Our choice of lu parrozz', a not-too-sweet flourless orange almond cake enrobed in dark chocolate ganache, was well worth it. To help us celebrate, two complimentary flutes of sparking wine were delivered with our dessert, making an already perfect evening even more perfect. When we arrived, we found that our reservation had been logged in for the wrong night. We were seated immediately without fanfare, and our evening proceeded flawlessly from there.
