"Guaranteed to be a good meal and you won’t leave disappointed, but you will also not leave wowed. We ordered the truffle scallop, ssam bap with uni, ribs, and gochu ramen. Out of our order the ribs were truly outstanding for me and my friend. However if you’re from the south you probably would consider them pretty average. The ssam bap was good but overpriced. You can get the same quality of fish and flavor at kazu nori and better quality at any other Omakase in the city. Ishikawa basically has a similar sushi that does everything in one bite and I found that more satisfying. The truffle scallop was also good, but there was so much stuff on the scallop that you barely tasted the scallop. The gochu ramen was likely the most disappointing (probably because it was hyped up so much). The lettuce and the kimchi just didn’t work with the flavors of the broth. The kimchi was just too sour. The broth was FANTASTIC and I think it was diluted by the amount of stuff in the ramen. The pork was so fatty that I just skipped even attempting to eat it. Less is would be more for this ramen.Service was as expected of any NYC restaurant. The staff weren’t as warm as other Michelins I’ve been to. Jungsik that has a similar concept of fusion Korean cuisine has a more congenial staff that make you feel like you’re dining with family/friends.Overall a good meal, but I wouldn’t have FOMO if you can’t get a reservation and would certainly not wait in line for a seat."
