We had a reservation and ended up having to wait 15-20 minutes for our table, and they comped us a round of drinks for the inconvenience. Thank you for taking care of us! "This is the main restaurant of The Little Nell which is a five star and five diamond hotel!! We were very excited to visit during our holiday vacation in Aspen. We went there on Christmas day and fortunately we found a table without a reservation! The staff were very nice and service was very good. We ordered 'america 's best hot chocolate ' and Truffle Fries! We liked the hot chocolate, it was also a wonderful presentation and really filling but not so sure if it was worth the $14. Their fries were really good! As a lover of condiments, believe me when I say the sauces are not needed with this one. The fries tasted great and we finished the large plate even though we were quite full. But again, a little steep on the price $17) for fries. Overall, we liked it because we felt that we tried America 's best hot chocolate.. price-wise though, not sure if it actually lived up to the title..."

"Food was disappointing. Nice view of the Bluff. Checked the menu on OpenTable: Lobster Tagliatelle was listed at $42. We were looking forward to order it. When we arrived at the restaurant, the menu said Tagliatelle $42, add Lobster $47. Lobster Tagliatelle $89!! We mentioned it to our server who said that several guests have complained about it and that the managers did not care. Outrageously overpriced. The food in general was not that good here; we did not finish it. Very disappointing after coming from Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch, where every dish and meal were excellent and we wanted more!"

"Literally the BEST crab cakes in the world. I cannot stress just how amazing Seastar's crab cakes are. I've been going to this location since they opened at the Civica building. (I worked for the company that built Civica...so yeah, going since day 1 Chef Howie is so focused on delivering an amazing dining experience. What else is good? Their oysters are always top notch. The spicy tuna roll? I get one every time I go, along with the crab cakes. The sourdough crab and cheddar sandwich? To die for! I just had the tri-tip the other day. It was cooked perfectly. The cioppino is perfect for our cold rainy days. If I had to complain about anything with the tri-tip, I would have liked more than what I got : but I can say that about nearly every single thing I have tried there. They are all so good, it doesn't matter how full you are. You always want more. Be sure to have desert while you're there... the coconut cream pie is amazing, and huge too. Make sure you have someone to share it with, or plan on having a to go box because that's one item you do get enough of!"

"Service in the bar area is very good and they take care to make great drinks. I take issue with the main restaurant and food. Automatic 20% service charges can backfire, as they do at Seastar. Service was sub-par and for a $400 meal, we expected not to have to flag our server down to order. The food is expensive and the kitchen hammered the shrimp and salmon. Do not ask for temperature on salmon, then bring it out overcooked and dry. The risotto was broken overcooked as well. Their sushi maki were prepared well and fresh."

I did note that it was a special occasion when I made the reservation and we could feel that our server was catering to our needs. Ensuring that our experience at Seastar was wonderful. "this is a really great place for a gourmet dinner. our server was fantastic, very knowledgeable and attentive. the restaurant layout was more extensive than we had realized, but a pleasant surprise. "eating was perfect from start to end. that was worth unbelievable for what they give you. we started with tomato and mozzarella, which was delicious and they topped it with fresh basilikum and sun dried tomato. my son got the maple bacon 3 lg discs that were incredible! next curse I got the surf and rasen that were worth the $10 charged. my son has charged the 18oz porter house steak for 10 dollars. both steaks were perfectly cooked and melted in the mouth. I ordered brokkoli w garlic and oil and my sohn got a huge basket of truffle friries. both sides were enough for 3 people. dessert was amazing. we have cheesecake and chocolate cakes that were both delicious. the bread basket was also amazing. can not wait to return because this is an amazing deal (price fix Sun-Wed.) so glad that we decided to go."

Incredible menu choices as well as daily specials too much to choose from. Service was fantastic and wow the swordfish and scallops extremely tasty! "Just went here the other night and it was delicious. The waiter was very helpful with suggestions on the menu. We started out with an appetizer that was a fried egg plant stacked with lump crab meat, fried green tomato, followed by more crab meat. I would have never tried anything like this, but the waiter suggested it and I'm really glad I listened. The steak was also the best I have ever had. I got the porter house and the fillet side almost melted in my mouth. It is a pricey place, but you get what you pay for. It's an absolute must for people that an occasional fancy dining experience."

"Made reservations on OpenTable to celebrate my husbands birthday. When we arrived, there was no wait time however, Our table seating was horrible. Seated Right next to the kitchen and in the midst of placing and picking up orders. Requested another table and informed that there were none available. We were sent at this small table that most of our belongings were not able to fit.The Pho appetizer was delicious however revived almost cold. We placed two appetizer orders and had to request pick up for both. Being seated next to the kitchen, we knew that our food was ready before our server. The noise level was terrible. We could hear conversations from all ends of the restaurant. The food was very good and tether expensive. Our bill was about 388 for my husband and I. The service charge was 60 dollars, which was not warranted. Nice decor however the seating made it impossible to enjoy. Probably will not return."

"We showed up 30 minutes early to a reservation and we’re told we could stand by the bar (since there were no seats available) or sit in the lobby until the table was ready. We went back by the bar and there were at least 5 tables open, but we had a drink and waited. Then when we received the text that the table was ready (literally at the time of our reservation, not minute earlier), we were seated at the open table we were standing by for 30 minutes. Seems like they’re trying to create an illusion of exclusivity because when I booked the reservation the night before, there were tables available at every 15 minute interval the whole night. Otherwise food was good and ambiance was top notch. Probably wouldn’t come here again though."

"Overall, the appetizers and steaks were fantastic. I would like to mention though that my elderly mother did not enjoy her entree. It was one of the nightly specials, Halibut. The waiter did not explain how the fish was prepared, and we found the dish was overly spicy due to the jalepenos or other type of chiles in the dish. The desserts were okay, not as fresh as I would expect for this restaurant, since we have dined here 3-4 times before. Not sure we will be returning since there are other steakhouses that provide the same ambience but better value."

"They have a vegan and gluten free menu but there’s only like 2 vegan options. I ordered an açaí bowl but the waitress looked at me like she’s never heard that before and immediately said they don’t have it. Then when I told her I was vegan she kept offering me yogurt with fruit or some eggs and bacon. In the end I got the tofu scrambler which wasn’t that bad but wasn’t the best either."
