"The clam chowder was, I 'm guessing, old. The potatoes were almost mush, and the clams were beyond tender. The soup itself looked like it was beginning to break... the tell tale signs were on the side of the bowl where it appeared grainy. The taste was not bad, over certainly had better and can make better. The primary reason we came here was for the she crab soup. It was very good by my wife 's standard... she asked them to hold back on the old bay. I got the fish and chips... one of my favorites. The fish came out really hot and nicely fried. However, the chips were terrible. I suspect they were fried at some point earlier and kept under a warming light. When the fish was done frying, the fries were placed in the cute wire mesh mini frying basket, and the hot, not drained fish was placed right on top of the fries. This resulted in an obvious layer of grease and steamed fries. I ALWAYS eat the fries. Not this time. The fries were perfectly ready for a quick second fry, I bet they would have been good. My wife got the seafood combination. It came with a nice salad. She asked for the fish, not the crab cake, to be fried, and they nicely accommodated. The elements were all good, although the breading was falling off. The crab cake was good, although a bit too much shell. No alcohol and the Bill without tip was $103. The service was OK. Our server was running around a lot... with so many tables to cover, some things must be compromised."
