"Best hole in the wall diner I have been to. Everything was great on the menu. I ate every day there for 2 weeks while I attended a school in that area. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all great. They have a large variety of food to choose from. The best thing is you get so much food for your money. This should be a tourist attraction, if I am ever in the area again they will see me again. "I was charged $19 for soup and a handful of fries. The soup clearly say $5.50 on the menu for the larger size. I didn’t see a price for an order of fries but figured everything together would be around $12-$13. When I called to ask what happened after my partner came home with the food they told me they charged me about $12 for the soup alone. I questioned why I wasn’t charged what was on the menu and was told that they only serve soup for that price when you eat in the restaurant. This was not specified on the menu whatsoever, nor was it mentioned to me when I called to order. I was begrudgingly told I could return for a $5 refund but I don’t feel like dragging myself out of bed with the stomach bug. I’ve always gone here because it is convenient but after this experience and the multiple times I’ve found hair in my food (at least 3) I will not be returning."

"Went in to visit with my sister! Food was perfect and lemontinis were delish! Tommy on the piano was the finishing touch for a night out! Our server was excellent and we at in the bar area, hate I didn’t get her name. "We needed an early breakfast before checking out of our timeshare. We could see Scotty Beans from our window, so I placed an online order just before they opened at 8. The app gave an estimated time of 9:00 so I called and asked about it. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes (they can't control the time estimates on the app), so my husband went down to get it.The bagel sandwiches were delicious! Great choice. I highly recommend them."

"Broadsheet diner is one of the good restaurant you can find in the neighborhood. The staffs were really friendly, welcoming and we did not have any problem to get a seat. The dining atmosphere was very good, which is also an important factor for food experience. Now regarding the food. The breakfast was OK in my opinion. If you?re looking for a quick hangout this will work out. I?m a lover of good American breakfast. For some reasons, I did not like their home fries (just me). They have variety of omelettes to choose from. Their sausage was too big and heavy. Our waitress said we?d be charged extra for wheat toast. Little surprised. Overall the restaurant is good to have one time meal. Vegetarian will have to customize your food. Not a lot of options."

"Their website suggested reservations and so we made them ... they were completely unnecessary. The restaurant wasn't really crowded, but they put us at a table near and extremely large party which meant we waited 10 15 minutes to have a server come over and take our drink order. I'm not sure if this is a post-pandemic thing or not but menus aren't provided, a broken tablet was shared, but for quicker service, it was suggested that we use our cell phones and scan the qr-code to see the menu and place our order. Admittedly, I am a little Tech challenged so needed help accessing their menu which was annoying. All ended well with an attentive server who got us a working tablet, a delish Chicago-style deep dish pizza and a shared hot fudge sundae. We will definately return for a taste of Chicago in Ann Arbor!"

"I already wrote this review once, and for some reason it wouldn’t let me finish with my private note because it didn’t like my nickname, but it didn’t say so. Doing a review for another restaurant I realized that was why it wouldn’t go. Anyway, we’ve been to fire and ice many times And never been disappointed but this time which was a special birthday celebration for two of the four of us, they seated us at a great table, round, and in front of the fireplace. I thought, “ this is perfect” quotation marks. And it was for a short time. then one of the staff, proceeded to spend quite a bit of time at a computer to our left, and making comments on our conversation. Totally inappropriate. One at our table, was reluctant to even speak, as she had some private things she wanted to discuss. The food was pretty good. Except the fish in the tacos was a little dry. The free desserts were delicious and much appreciated. And our waitress was wonderful."

We ordered the avocado club (no mayo) and the Italian cold cut with all the fixings, and oh my gosh! I can't even begin to describe how delicious these sandwiches are – they blew my mind! They made me so incredibly happy that I even found myself dancing while eating. And why not?! My heart is so full and happy now that I've paired them with some jalapeño kettle chips. "This was my first visit and I was very pleased with the food and the service. Everyone as friendly and we were greeted as we approached the counter. It's a seat yourself environment so nothing crazy as you walk through the door, just head to the counter and order. The food came out hot and fresh. The portion sizes were more than enough to be full and grab a to-go box worth. The men's bathroom smelled and looked clean. Most restaurants miss the mark on either of those but this one did not. 10/10 would recommend!"

"We went there the night before Thanksgiving and it was a great dinner. The appetizer, roasted Calamari, was good, but a large part of it was just roasted Jalapenos. My duck was the whole fish, and I loved him. The meat was tender and the skin was beautiful and crispy. My friend also enjoyed his risotto with scallops like add on. They gave quite a lot of scallops for a good price. For dessert we got the baked Alaska as dessert and it was huge."

"Wonderful food and beautiful large outdoor terrace. Many rooms inside and outside. We went for lunch and I had the Mahi Mahi Special and my husband had the Grouper Special. They were both excellently cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and they have many parking lots as the downtown Lakewood Ranch."
