"Okay, so I almost never write reviews about everything, but this place deserves it. I love Italian style subs, and basically try them everywhere. When I was in town to visit family and heard that I had to try this blimpie, I was totally for it. First of all, just when you go in, the place is old school and clean. Going to the sandwich counter, there are two people, and these guys are professionals. First they take your order (a Blimpie Best for me), and they cut the bread, and then thin slice and load all meat and cheese right in front of you on the sandwich. This part is the key - no pre-ground meats wait to, that is from the cutting edge to your lower part. I recommend jumping with the blimpie path with tomatoes, salad, onion, oil, vinegar and oregano. Of course, there are tons of other options, etc. While there are tons of places, from chains to pizza joints to get subs, this place makes a really loaded sub, fresh cut to order right in front of you. I only get it sandwich meat, but the way it is composed, dressed and prepared, makes a real difference, and it is noticeable here. At the same time, it feels local because it is. The two people always behind the counter (owners I assume) are so beautiful, amazing and make a great sandwich, and everything while you feel at home. I live out of town, but I am happy to come here every time I can."
