"I was craving soul food and placed a delivery order with Turp 's kitchen thinking I would be able to get it from here. My meal arrived quickly and was still warm. I ordered cheesesteak eggrolls, fried chicken wings, mac cheese, potato salad and cornbread. The eggrolls were not as crispy as they should be and didn 't have enough meat for their size. They did come with a spicy ketchup that paired with it well. The wings were seasoned well but didn 't have that crispy crunch I look for. The Mac cheese was like a tasty homemade dish. The cornbread didn 't look or taste like any cornbread I 've had before. It was very sweet. I liked it but it wasn 't what I expected. The potato salad tasted OK but was also not what I expected. It was the white colored potato salad, not the kind I was craving that u get at the typical soul food restaurant. Every dish was good, but nothing stood out. It was more like a meal you might get at someone 's home, but wouldn 't travel out to a restaurant for. The dishes were lacking in the level of soul I expect from a soul food restaurant. Maybe they don 't even want to be classified as one? Turp 's Kitchen is probably a one and done."
