"I came here to fulfill my need for a large stuffed crust pizza. I ordered takeout through the online website and appreciated the user experience on the online platform. It was very easy to customize the pizza and even split toppings if I only wanted them on half. I highly suggest the online platform. It was also easy to see the deals they had going on and apply them to my order. Pro tip: make sure you enter the right location first because deals vary by location. As for the food, it tasted so good. I savored every but of my stuffed crust pizza that had pineapple, Canadian bacon, and sausage. Delicious. As for the price a bit pricy for fast food pizza. Overall, I had a good experience."

"My only complaint is when you call an order that you are directed to a call center and not directly to the store. The lady in the call center did not get my order 100% bit the staff in the store quickly corrected and gave a discount for the problems. I always have a great experience here and feel welcome. I don't remember every time I had problems with the food. I'll go back."

"Visited Altoona and got in late. Most everywhere else was closed so I opted for Papa John’s. Please forgive me as I forget the gentleman’s name who took my delivery order but he was very pleasant, personable and patient with me. I ordered 30 plain chicken poppers with BBQ on the side. 40 minutes (as he said it would be) they arrived. WOW! They were amazing! I’ve had Dominoes and where I live, they are horrible. I’m going to try the Poppa John’s near me. I hope they’re as wonderful. Great Job Altoona Poppa John’s!"

"husband and I tried to use a loan for wrong order that was refunded. we were 20 minutes in the waiting period. I called back several times to talk to a manager because it is the only way to use the credits and was repeatedly suspended from the machine I think. I understand it's Friday and waiting times can be long, but that felt excessive. also please write corporate and change this terrible dialogue. when they try to stop people from waiting to order that it works."

"How do I compare this Papa John's to the ones in Southern California? If I could give customer service and pizza quality 10 stars, I definitely would. I'm not sure if the older gentleman was the owner, but based on the "family-owned" sign at the front door, he seemed to be. He provided excellent customer service and was genuinely kind. He even offered me other pizzas at reasonable prices, but I kindly declined as I couldn’t finish all the pizza I had. My girlfriend is quite picky about food, especially pizza, but she absolutely loved it. She said it was made exactly the way pizza should be. A happy girlfriend means a happy life! I rate this Papa John's 5 out of 5 stars and will definitely be coming back."

"Order was said to be delivered in 50 minutes. Received my two- ten inch pizzas after an hour and fourty minutes. Had to call Papa John's and ask about my order status. Person answering the phone said my order was on its way before I even gave my name or order information. Then proceeded to hang up on me after telling me to hold on. I was polite and didn't warrant this. The order taking so long to get delivered had nothing to do with the Dasher. She was very polite and apologized. But as I said it wasn't her fault."

"We have ordered from PJP on other occasions but this order was not acceptable. The pizza delivered was someones else across town and who knows where ours was being delivered to. When we learned of the mix up, we called PJP, and was placed on hold immediately; obviously to notified their delivery guy. After minutes of waiting someone who called themselves a manager explained our pizza was in it 's way back; but rather than canceling the order and remaking the order as any competent manager would do in the midst of a global pandemic! Makaylah, the manager advises the driver is on his way to pick up the pizzas that have already been in the house! Isn 't this against food industry policy and standards??! Especially during the Covid pandemic?! I also notified the person whose order we received so they were aware of his order having been in someone else 's home and inquiry if our pizza arrived at his house. When I informed PJP I did so, the manager became upset and told me I shouldn 't have done that! Who knows if those pizzas would have gone from my house to his?! PJP never apologized for their incompetency and offered no resolution. There was no accountability nor customer service illustrated to ease the situation or have any regard for their customers health concerns whatsoever! I am very disappointed by their lack of management skills and customer service skills! To add insult to the entire situation, because we opted to cancel our order, Makaylah said our card would be credited at the of the night!! A one star review is overreaching!!"

"The food was enjoyable overall, but the garlic knots were quite dry and lacked sufficient garlic butter. This affected the overall taste when paired with the incorrect pizza sauce instead of the cheese sauce I had ordered. Hopefully the remaining knots are not too dry to eat today. I may have to prepare my own garlic butter to improve them. I likely won't be ordering the garlic knots again in the future."

"Saw a advertisement that Papa Johns of New Boston was giving %50 off and free delivery to Wheelersburg all weekend. We tried to place an order for delivery and they refused to deliver to our wheelersburg address on woodcrest. Apparently we're not in the right part of wheelersburg! Said they'll deliver from Kroger to Best Care, but not to countryside... which is closer to their store?"

"I recommend trying a different pizzeria. I ordered from here and received a very mediocre pizza that was difficult to chew. It was surprising that they would deliver something so subpar. After I complained to the management, they promised me a free pizza on my next visit, which I didn't even ask for. However, when I ordered again and inquired about the free pizza, they charged me the same as for a regular pizza. Lesson learned: if you're not satisfied with the pizza from this place, it's better to just switch to another pizzeria instead of complaining."

"I never have a problem here. Except that they are so busy sometimes they can't answer the phone immediately. There's always an app, right? However, the pizza is always beautiful, hot and super fresh. Your driver Michael C. is great. He actually calls to make sure he has your instructions correctly. Simple things like an extra garlic sauce etc. Attention to detail is great. I love this, and I am going from here for things that simply make a difference to make use of their service."

"we ordered a pizza to deliver it. pfefferoni mushrooms and cheese and two sides garlic sauce. the pizza took an hour and a half to deliver. the time we were given was half to 45 minutes. when the pizza was received, it was not hot. the crust was very hard, chewing and almost impossible to eat. very rubbery. the beats were not so good, nor did they cover the crust completely. the garlic butter had no taste of it. I was very disappointed. I've eaten a lot again in the late 90s, but I don't know how nostalgic about certain things now. Let it be a happy memory. I heard my words, let it be a happy memory."
