"Had not been here in a while. Used to get good food and service here. My friend and I were most disappointed with both service and food. Food was tasteless. Not the good Mexican food that used to be served here. My friend's fries were saturated in grease with way too much salt. He likes salt but couldn't eat them. They gave him a replacement with less salt but still greasy. The tacos ordered had dry tortillas and were so tasteless we both came away so disappointed but will never return. Too bad. Waste of and most unsatisfying."

"Well is usually quite good here, but too often my order is either incorrectly taken or the received service is pretty bad. I ordered a phone today and picked it up and brought home. When they opened, they made the order wrong again, so I called back to the store. The person I spoke to told me? I'll take my name and my number and the next time I come in? ll give me a free burrito, no offer or intention to correct the original error at all. I feel like me? ve was quite patient with this restaurant in the last few years, but at this point I will not visit."

"We tried to keep it simple and order tacos with no meat sub beans and they wouldn't do it!!! So we ordered a side of rice and beans and a side of tortillas and made them ourselves. Even Taco Bell can make a taco without meat. Such a disappointment."

"Horrible service. Completely ignored by staff. Had water with no ice. No straws, no napkins. Got my order wrong. The restaurant had 3 tables seated I was very polite still treated badly. The food was decent though. But why bother going out to eat if u have to find the waitress ask for the basics just to be disrespected? She got offended when I asked for to go box/cups when she brought them and put her butt on my shoulder while placing everything on the table naming off every item. Learned my lesson about Fridas Mexican restraunt: ?"

"who doesn't love delicious Mexican food. I'm a very picky eater, but if I find a favorite, they're my place. el chino is a long Mexican restaurant here in santa cruz, and I guess you could call it a hole in the wall. the shredded bark should die. my ultimate favorite is the ranchero burrito with crushed bark. if I'm bored, I'll change it to crushed corn bags. but all they have is delicious! I've never been dissatisfied. salsa is excellent. I always get a 16oz to be home for the week. next time, look at her that you're a delicious Mexican."

"I had been searching for a decent Mexican restaurant near my workplace for lunch. After trying out a few places without much luck, I decided to give Frank Gina's a shot. The carne asada fries caught my attention for $10, as listed on the menu. I placed my order for takeout. The service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was fantastic. Although I was charged $13.50, I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for the difference. I would definitely recommend Frank Gina's Cocina and will certainly return!"

"Garcia's was always a family favorite growing up for both myself and my boyfriend's families. It made for the perfect date night for us and we both loved that the food was just as good as we remembered it being when we were kids. It was nice to have a date night in a place where we both had really good memories. I'm looking forward to bringing our kids there one day and adding to those memories on the other end. The service was spectacular also. We were well waited on, without any hovering. It was perfect."

"Cool decor, Mexican version of shenanigans. Amazing food. Maybe skip the speedy Gonzalez, go for the Verdes enchiladas or Michoacano burrito. The salsa(in background with the margarita picture) and white sauce with chips are absolutely amazing. Good drinks, try the Cactus Berry margarita (pictured) and pose out front with the cardboard cutout after. Edit- our lunch group is sad they are no longer doing lunch at all during the week. Would love to have a taco Tuesday or a lunch Friday."

"This specific Cotijas location is one of my favorite taco shops solely because of their carne-asada tacos. I get them every Tuesday because they're so inexpensive (around $2-ish dollars each) and they are always so well made. The meat is always so juicy and the tacos are always so filling. I typically don't like salsa but their spicy red salsa has the best punch of spices when paired with their asada. The customer service is always great here as the staff is always so kind. A great spot to visit in Torrey Highlands!"

"The hostess stated to seat yourself then handed menus to the group. Watched it happen 3 more times. She was wearing headphones similar to full size beatz, using her phone, running hands through hair putting into a pony tail, taking it down, primping at the hostess station, never washing her hands. When we left, she was coloring at the hostess stand. Very disappointing. Our waitress did an acceptable job. Food was slow to arrive, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Why so slow? Not sure. The salsa is still great, chips were dark in color, not what the norm used to be. The cheese crisp was cheesy but not crisp. Fajitas ordered well done, very greasy, pan not sizzling, not well done at all. Used to love the rice and bean sides, today was just ok. Not pleased with the staff and food quality, will not be in a hurry to return. La Fonda Del Sol was my go to place, thankful for the great memories, those will have to carry me through as the experience and value isn't what it used to be."
