"Do it right, go to Taco Time. I've probably shared this before, but fast food is the hardest of all restaurants to review. Fast food serves a specific purpose; to fill the void with something that is both inexpensive, fast to get and at least somewhat tasty. Comparing and contrasting various fast food places is a bit like splitting hairs and the best I can usually do is point out one or two unique things or maybe recommended a food item to try and that is about it.<br/ <br/ Amongst chain/franchise taco/Mexican restaurants I think that Taco Time is one of the best. Some features make Taco Time stand out from the competition. Taco Time has a salsa/sauce bar. I highly recommend eating in because you can take full advantage of trying different salsas and hot sauces from the sauce bar. I'm not aware of any other fast food joint in the vicinity that has that particular feature. Plenty have self service ketchup, but beyond that condiments are a dirty word in the fast food business. The more condiments a fast food place makes available the more expensive their operations. I highly recommend the green sauce. The green sauce is fresh and bright tasting without being hot.<br/ <br/ Taco time is also known for its crisp bean, meat and chicken burritos. I'm sure they are totally unhealthy for you but they taste so good, especially when dipped in the green salsa. Imagine a tortilla filled with beans, meat or chicken and then rolled up into a tube like shape and deep fried. See, not good for you, but easy to handle and really good tasting. This is yet another unique food item you don't find at competing places.<br/ <br/ But here is the typical disclaimer. Taco Time is quite a bit more expensive than most of the competition. There are no 89 cent burritos and dollar menu items. You don't have to spend a lot of money to eat well at Taco Time, but you will spend a couple bucks more than if you go to the other major fast food taco place. However, the uniqueness of most of the menu items and the fresh salsa bar justify the additional price.<br/ <br/ So, if you are going to do fast food Mexican, at least do it right, go to Taco Time."
