"I have stopped several times over the years because of its super favorable location when you wander in the area of Basking Ridge or Jockey Hollow, this is not far away at all and is just a minute or two of 287. I came by to pick up a few minutes on the street this Sunday afternoon after a dark, muddy hike in Lord Stirling Park. Your weekend hours are as comfortable as the location they open at noon, when is the last time you have a 10AM BBQ Hankering? and close to 8PM, perfect for a post hike meal. This place is casual enough where I would definitely have just got with this kind of food, your waiting time is quite low, but decided to pick up. The girl on the front was very nice and helpful, led me to the online menu nearby and processed my order immediately after receipt. I'd say the food came very fast in about seven or eight minutes. I ordered the pulled pork $13, a pinch of Mac and cheese I think $8 or $9 and a piece of cornbread at $1.50 . The pulled pig was excellent, it is tender, juicy and skurril. In my experience with pulled pork, you often have a few bites of charred edges that look like your life expectancy down a few months when you take it, but all BBQ was smart as it should be with this genre of food. It is one part of the menu that they must be able to meet from the park, and they do. The Mac and the cheese were really good, he reminded me of Ikea Mac and cheese, which is definitely not insult, although I would not say great. It was a LITTLE dry, and I wasn't crazy that you didn't have it as a cheaper, smaller side option. I definitely remember being here before COVID and having it as a side for a few extra dollars. So I jumped for it, but I don't know I'd do it again. The grain bread was ok, and that in and by itself was a little disappointing. I remember coming here for lunch in the past and being blown away from the sweet moisture of corn bread, but that was on the dry side and a little tasteless what I feel is always knocking on maize bread. I'm willing to confirm that some of the tastes/moistness have been lost in transport, so I'd give it back when I dive. The price point may seem a little high on his face, but I think it should be an expectation with BBQ that you will pay a little more for the prep work. This is a strong option in an area that does not have much if any BBQ facilities, and you can not go wrong with decor with a Sir Mixalot homage see attached."
