"I’ve been eating at macayos since 1975 as a child, so when I came back to town I obviously wanted to share with my family. First the wait was 20 minutes later than our reservation because so many large table were dirty when we arrived. Finally after 20 minutes I asked how long it would be and the hostess then took us to a table that had been clean and ready since we arrived. The quest dip we arrested came out cold, had to send it back, the appetizer plate came out with food so over cooked we didn’t eat half of it. The chimichangas shock they are famous for now has half the meat they used to have. The ambiance was not what a macayos used to be. It’s now more like a place to go in the afternoon for lunch. We had a party of 7 and everyone said it’s the worst meal they had while in town. I’ve taken macayos off my list of places to eat while visiting my hometown."
