"Google tells me the last time I was here, was 4 years ago. I can't believe I waited so long to come back This place is great. We started out with the chefs special blackened ahi tuna, I would've sworn we received a double portion, it was huge and delicious. We both had French onion soup and massive salads. Our waitress was wonderful and definitely look forward to coming back again soon."

"I started with the pork skewers with cheese sauce and then had the sour beef and dumplings for my main course. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The table agreed that the beef was delicious. The sour beef and sauce were excellent, although the dumplings could use some improvement. There was something off about the texture and consistency of the dumplings that I couldn't quite pinpoint. I would still order this dish again, but maybe swap out the dumplings for potatoes the next time."

"we've been here before and loved it. this time when there was a big mistake on our meal, we couldn't get it for a ridiculously long time. they collect our meal to another table, and it was only when we asked what was going on on what happened. even wait too long! sometimes an apology is not enough. (which we have received from some different people) acts speak louder than words. a “we give them a drink in the house while we fix the problem” or any gesture would have been great to fix our frustration and make us feel a bit of this disney magie. had happened in the past! so the experience this time was less than satisfactory, unfortunately."

"I had been to Figs one other time several years ago. And if anything they have gotten better. I had the. Chicken Tangine and my husband has the veal forestierre. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. My tanging was chocked full of pump and juicy chicken breast pieces as well as a variety of tasty mushrooms, walnuts, apricots, and pears. The fruit sis not overwhelm the dish and the juice was savory and well balanced. I highly recommend this dish. I also enjoyed a white sangria which as very refreshing. And we split the beet salad which had creamy pieces of goat cheese we would have appreciated a little more cheese. The ambiance is interesting. Open, but also cozy and welcoming. Our server was pleasant, unobtrusive, and efficient. We’ll be back"

"The restaurant has a nice atmosphere on Lincoln Road. However, the food was quite disappointing. When we arrived, we were the only table seated, so I was surprised that our meals were not cooked properly. I ordered a filet mignon medium, accompanied by a shrimp skewer, but it came out well done. The shrimp were overcooked and very dry. My son ordered a paella, which only had two shrimp, three small mussels, and a lot of rice—definitely not enough seafood. My wife had the branzino, which was the best dish of the night and the only reason I gave more than one star for the food. Unfortunately, it was still quite dry. For dessert, we tried a cold bread pudding, but I could only manage a bite, even though I typically enjoy desserts. My wife and son also refused to eat it, so we skipped dessert altogether. The service was excellent, but again, we were the only table at the time of our arrival, and by the time we left, only two other diners were present."

"Best She Crab Soup in Charleston. Crab cakes with poached eggs on grits is my favorite. And the spicy **** Mary with Fleet Landings pepper infused vodka is excellent. We try to get to Fleet Landing every trip to Charleston. Highly recommend. And Sara was an excellent server Sunday."

"Oh brother, this place stinks. We bought 9 tickets to a bottomless mimosa brunch. When we arrived, all of the bigger tables were taken except for one. When I asked a server if we could sit there, I was met with empty eyes. The lights were on but no one was home. Another server told us the table was reserved, so we tried to move two tables together. All of a sudden, the first server came back to life to tell us we weren’t allowed to do that. It was a miracle! After waiting on a server for awhile, we went up to try to order at the bar. The bartenders told us we couldn’t order at the bar even though the flyer at our table told us we could. A server finally came over to our table, and after repeating our drink orders 5 times, we finally had a mimosa.I think any MLM girlie from my high school could run a business better. A real shame given the food was delicious."

"Food was great, service not so much. Food was brought out (sushi) but no plates, set there for about 10 minutes finally had to get up catch the waiter and ask for plates. The service did not change through the dinner. Same thing with drinks my wife and my self-had wine never came back to ask if we would like another glass of wine. The fastest thing that came out was the bill. Would recommend Hakka Chow for the food only. Looking for another place with similar food but only with better service."

"If you want a TERRIBLE experience, let me recommend this place. We, party of 4 (locals) went here for my friends Birthday lunch. Hibachi room was closed. Water Fountain drained/empty, with dry mineral flaking scale exposed. Menu items were made without said ingredients..that were missing. We were told by the server that they stopped ordering tomatoes, cucumbers asparagus. (main ingredient in listed Veggie Rolls). We noticed the asparagus was missing about ½ through the sushi roll, and they charged us full price, even when we asked them to take it away. Egg Rolls are frozen, then quick fried with mushy, unidentifiable ingredients. The Birthday Girl was shorted on her Plum wine pour and the wine tasted OLD The Salmon Nigiri was soft and had an odor to it. At this point, we asked the older male server to get us a Manager. He was very rude and told us the Owner, Michael would NOT come out to speak to us, and also with a straight face, he told us in his angry English..and I do quote: IF YOU DON 'T LIKE, YOU DON 'T COME BACK, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE . It was absolutely horrific. Shocking to hear that from a server. We will definitely take him up on his recommendation. They just lost 4 customers, all in one sitting. What a joke...not even worth 1 star. ~Shame on the Owner, as well."

"The Wagyu meatballs were delicious, but the burrata with stone fruit and a small piece of shaved prosciutto left much to be desired. The service was exceptional, with Omar being especially noteworthy. The Far Niente Chardonnay was outstanding. However, there was a slight issue with flies outside that became bothersome. I may stick to my usual favorites next time - the amazing burger, Anti Oxidant Salad, and wood oven Margherita pizza. The bruschetta was also good. I suggest adding the seafood Cobb salad from the brunch menu to the lunch menu. Although I typically don't order dessert, it was my birthday and I was pleased with the superb vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio gelato, as well as the dark chocolate cake. Despite the minor issues, this remains our favorite spot for lunch."

"An hour and fifty minutes for nachos and a beer midday on a Saturday. Not sure what was occuring to result in this. About twenty minutes to have someone ask for my order, which was just nachos. Another forty minutes before I were told that the order was placed incorrectly and they had to resubmit the order. The server/bartender was kind enough to provide complimentary beer samples in the interim. Food was fine (who doesn 't love nachos? and I ran out of there since lunch should not take two hours when you know exactly what you want going in. I would love to say this was an isolated instance but the Iron Hills I usually go to (Media and Ardmore have been a consistently poor experience. Slow service and once you receive service you feel like you have almost earned it because you have put your time in . I know that I should stop going after previous subpar experiences but I really just wanted a good plate of nachos on a chilly Feb day. My mistake."

"Great food and exceptional prices. Vanessa's is a real treat--excellent menu with several daily specials. Beer selection is good and so are prices compared with other restaurants. We ordered three dishes to share--all under $20. Garlic noodles with filet mignon and chicken was a special, as was a salad with snow crab. The crispy pork loin was a unique and tasty menu item. There are many restaurants on Solano Ave, but Vanessa's is a real stand out for taste and reasonable prices. Service is laconic but they get the job done without any rush. You can enjoy an exceptional meal here for prices that don't really exist elsewhere. Better than trying to find someplace good near the Berkeley campus and no hassle parking."

"It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!"
