"My wife and I love eating in local restaurants, and the Speckled Egg used to be one of our favorites. It was a great little hole-in-the-wall-local restaurant. The egg offered simple food, reasonable portions and good prices, combined with a outgoing, friendly and competent staff. We loved it and were regular breakfast patrons for years. Times change, and the egg has worse. Now the food is at best sufficient, the prices rise, most old staff are gone, and the new staff is well trained. After today we are not back and suggest If you are looking for good food, scientific service and value, look somewhere else."
