"I recently attended the California Fresh Cooking Class and I must say it was both delicious and educational. While it's not hard to make meat taste good, learning how to give vegetables a fresh twist was truly eye-opening. I discovered many local vegetables that I had never used before, such as rutabaga, and also picked up some valuable knife skills for prepping vegetables. The class taught me easy tricks like how to properly clean leeks and how to utilize all parts of vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised to find that leek greens are quite tasty! Despite being a devoted meat eater, I appreciated learning about healthy and delicious vegetable dishes, and have since incorporated this knowledge into my daily cooking. The class even motivated me to experiment with new vegetables like kohlrabi. Julie, our instructor, made the experience enjoyable and provided me with lifelong culinary skills."
