"We visited Ernie Biggs in Branson on a Friday night in August 2014. We arrived about five minutes before 8:00 pm (show time) and had our choice of seats. There is a $5 cover charge. The show began promptly at eight, even though the bar was only 1/4 full by then. Three piano players rotated through the night and I thought they complimented each other pretty well, regardless of the pairing. I don 't remember their names, but the older, hippie-type was an amazing musician and had a fantastic voice. He didn 't have much of a personality, but I could sit and listen to him play all night. The other older player was a great musician and had an adequate voice. He was snarky, full of one liners and kept the crowd laughing. The young player was a good musician and his youthful enthusiasm made up for his lack of a voice. The show is almost all requests, but a drummer came out for 2-3 songs that appeared to have been rehearsed. You turn your requests in with a tip. As you 'd expect, the larger the tip, the quicker they will try to get to your song. It looked like most people were tipping $1s and $5s. I turned in a request for two songs with a $10 and they were played almost immediately. I 'd rate the show PG-13, more for the sexual innuendos and lewd comments than for the occasional language. As others have said, you 'll have as much fun as you want. The musicians do a good job of encouraging the crowd to participate. And they do the obligatory drag-the-unwilling-sap-to-the-stage thing. We sang, clapped along and laughed all night. The bar was pretty much full by 9:00 and when we left at 10:30, it was SRO. It 's non-smoking inside, but there are several tables just outside the door for smokers to escape for a quick fix and still hear the music. There is a small menu of typical bar fare: hamburgers, pizza, nachos, etc. We tried the chips and queso and it wasn 't great. The chips were crisp and salty, but the queso tasted like something you 'd get at a high school basketball game. My wife had a White Russian and I had three domestic beers in bottles. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, although he did forget the chips and queso for a few minutes. After a reminder, they appeared quickly. The tab was $35, including a generous tip. It was a very pleasant evening out for $55. We 'll definitely be back."
