"Having made our reservation OpenTable (and printed a copy), I presented the reservation to the host and he remarked what is this- I 've never seen this before? And with this, he simply added our name to the long waiting list. When I queried him as to Famous Dave 's had the OpenTable reservation as an option on its website, he simply shrugged his shoulders and ignored me. Very likely I will NEVER be a return patron at Famous Dave 's!! Our treatment was rude and offensive...….."

"This experience wasn’t as great as previous ones. My family is from out of state and went to Branson on Fall Break. We go to eat at Famous Dave’s and are told you have to have a reservation. We make a reservation for two nights later and get in ok but once in notice a cash only sign. We have to run outside to an ATM. The food was mediocre but service was lacking. We might just go somewhere else next time."

"The whole was very different from the other Famous Dave's location. I didn't like you to have to go order, then wait until you were served. If you have small children, you must actually leave them to order from a take-out menu, people were everywhere. You couldn't tell who the dune was with guests from the trainers. We were a party of 9 so that this place was very small that you almost felt like sardines in a can, but I could not understand why a reservation was proposed until we came there and saw why, plus they bring those big plates that were almost as big as the tables. This place must be seriously rebuilt. The food was as always spectacular and the staff also."

"We went to the restaurant with our grandchildren. Unfortunately, my roasted chicken and baked potato were not hot. We had to wait a long time for the server to bring extra mayo for my meal. My granddaughter had ordered a burger, but it never arrived, so I went to the manager and asked for another chicken instead. The manager was apologetic and promptly brought out a new chicken dish, as well as a complimentary dinner from Famous Dave's. Despite the delay, my granddaughter's burger had gotten cold while waiting for the mayo. However, the fries were tasty. She was only able to eat half of the burger since it was too cold. Overall, our meal was just okay, mainly thanks to the free chicken. We informed the server about the situation when she finally showed up, and she explained that she had an emergency but should have had someone else assist us. I may consider going back to the restaurant, but not anytime soon."

"This place has never been my favorite to eat in Kansas City. So many great options for bbq but a friend had a gift card. The service was absolute perfection. I ordered a side salad and a baked potato and they were both delicious. One friend had a delicious looking burger and the other had brisket, which she said was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be putting Famous Dave’s back on my list."

"I and my wife and daughter had a reservation at this point at 7:45. We sat at 7:50. We knew what we wanted so we could order our food immediately and two alcoholic drinks. 25 minutes pass and at 8:15 the only thing we had on the table was 3 water. No one was back to check us out and we didn't even get our drinks. There was something overcrowded, but not at the point where it should have been overwhelming for the employees. Now it's 8:30 and still not drinks or something. The table we sit on had a clear look at the kitchen area and my wife watched a girl who was a server came from outside to the ground and then go into the microwave and opened it and touched some corn with their bare hands to make sure it was hot and then went to serve it to a table. At this point we were fed and asked to speak with a manager to express our concerns. Another server comes to the table that said that the manager was busy, but she would be over if she could, so we expressed our concerns to her and she said she would tell the manager and check our foods and drinks personally.(yet no drinks on the way) 10 minutes later the manager (JESSICA ARCISD) comes to the table apologize and said she would check on our beverage order and told us that our food had 7 before him. We have expressed our concerns and have now given it the opportunity to do something. 10 minutes further and at 8:50 my wife goes to the bar and our drinks are already made and just sit on the bar counter without bartender in sight. Smh. So we finally get our drinks, but wait for food. (Don't forget that we have a 5 year old with us, who is also waiting and hungry)20 more minutes go by and around 9:15 the manager goes back to our table and noticed that we haven't eat yet and told us that she would check for the food. She comes back 5 minutes later saying that our ticket lost "

"Overall, it's an upgrade from fast food. Service was really friendly helpful, even though they were short staffed and rand a little slow. Ribs were done nicely, and tasty but quite fatty. Sides were fine. If you're judicious about what you eat, you can probably keep dinner to about 1,000 calories without dessert. "The Florence, KY location has its ups and downs mainly due to management changes and menu changes. The last 2 times we went to Famous Dave 's the food was disappointing. Over cooked, dried out and cold. Tonight 's visit was an exception. The ribs were delicious as well as the sides. They actually brought back our favorite fries that had been previously changed on the menu. Thank you Famous Dave 's! Our waiter, Famous Eric was excellent. Knowledgeable of the menu, helpful with suggestions and attentive to service. We still do not understand why management removed the sugars and ketchup from table making you ask for them?"

And we actually liked it a little better than we anticipated Some of the reviews sounded a little harsh about the cornbread and other sides, but we enjoyed all of our sides We tried the Brisket for one plate and the chopped Pork for another plate. The brisket was a little strange for me. It fell apart in chunks so the texture was a little off. But with enough sauces on top it didn't really matter.
