"The hostesses need more training. We were greeted with a curt how can i help you followed by a wordless walk to our table. After we were seated, her only other comment to us was to inform us we only had 90 minutes to eat. This was not the best start to our first dinner at this restaurant. Our waiter was nice but clearly burdened by the number of tables he had and not the most charming. The vegetarian moussaka was good but was not hot. Nothing else we ordered stood out."

"7:30 on a Friday night I ordered a chicken quesadilla, my husband ordered a burger. My order was cut into pieces, some of which had no chicken, all little cheese had nothing else; for $7.50 I would never recommend that. My husband said his burger was fine, but had even better other places. That day I would say that the Mohawk is very overestimated!"

"My sister in law chose this place for my brothers birthday. My fiancé, mother in law and I traveled all the way from Massachusetts to come here. The food was great, the vibe and especially our waitress Kayla. She was so sweet!! And even though it looked like she was getting bullied by what I’m assuming was the manager (Robert). She kept her cool and a smile with every table because she literally was amazing at managing so many tables on that busy night."

"The weather was perfect at 72 degrees and everyone should visit this hidden gem! The food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. There are plenty of seating options, from high tops to low tables, and they even have heated outdoor seating for chillier days. Parking is plentiful on weekends when the DMV is closed, otherwise, it may be more limited. The drinks were fantastic, with great mixology, and the food was authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The appetizer platter can easily serve 3 or 4 people before entrees. The seasoned fritters were amazing and they also offer healthy options for those looking for a lighter meal. The entrees were delicious, especially the catfish. We had leftovers to take home and they were just as good the next day. The prices were very reasonable, with gratuity included. The staff, particularly our server Jasmine or Jennifer (sorry, I'm bad with names due to chemo brain), were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to visit again!"

"My first time dining in here (Saturday 9/24), I had a reservation and requested a high chair. 2 adults and 1 toddler. Walked in, the hostess assigned us to a table for 2 (small table), im a server too and I know how annoying it can get when customers asking for a different table. I’d hate to be one of those customers but I have a 3rd person so I need a bigger table than the table for 2. I asked her if we can get a bigger table, she gave me an attitude didn’t even answer my question just dragged the table and left. Then a bigger party came in sitting behind us, all of a sudden all servers/hostess only paid attention to them meanwhile I kept trying to get their attention to get a check/Togo box but hostess seemed so busy looking at her phone laughing with the other guy at the bar. I had to get up and give my card instead. Place is really nice, cocktails were good, food was okay, but service is a no."

"Apart from the lady at the table next to us make a fool of herself (gived at the manager how good she can count money) it was a great night. The ambience is right. Very subtle, but Chill Vibes with a great view of the city. The food is remarkable. They have put a lot of thoughts in their menu. From and Raul is the man!!! My wife and will definitely be back."

"We love Cuban food and since we don't have restaurants in Athens, we decided to look somewhere while we were in Lexington, KY. That was a great find! You take reservations that is always a plus for me!! The menu had many choices and it was difficult to decide not to have a Cuban!! But I also love empanadas and the sweet maizes sound divine. There are several toppings for the Tamale and we ordered the Mojo pig. Both dishes were really good. Presentation of the two plates was top notch! My favorite part was the mojo pig. True taste packed and perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed **** mares! Service was excellent."

"My husband and I had a great meal at Thirsty Bear for my birthday. We asked for and got seated in a non-crowded quiet area of the restaurant. Everyone was friendly and the waitress was excellent in explaining the food and beer options. We tried a variety of beers and tapas. The portions were ample and the food was very good. We ate only vegetarian (potato dish, squash dish and flatbread) so cannot comment on any meat dishes. We had leftovers, which was packed up for a nice meal. For dessert we had the chocolate molten cake which was so so good. I am a chocoholic. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will go back there again."
