"Ona Restaurant in Yachats was filled to capacity on a Monday evening. Parking was somewhat challenging and service was cordial but slow. The food was good but not outstanding. On a less busy night Ona would be a very good restaurant but tonight it rates only three stars or good ."

"My wife and I went during restaurant week at the recommendation of some friends of ours. This place did not disappoint. We’re always looking for new cuisine to try and this Croatian restaurant provided us something we haven’t tried before. For the appetizer I had The pork and beef risotto, which was some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the butternut squash soup, which she said was also stellar. For the entrees we had the Sarma, which was also phenomenal. I’m not a big dessert guy so my wife had the desserts which she said were good as well. Ambience is very lively, yet cozy. Parking is difficult, but I believe they offer a valet service to make up for that. Overall a great experience. We’ll definitely be back again."

"Eating was fine, but very expensive. My wife ordered fish and chips that were good, but I was surprised that they didn't bring any vinegar at all. My Clam Chowder was in a pretty small bowl. Our waitress never offered to refill our water until it finally came back at the end of the meal and the place was not crowded. If you pay, they offer a 20% and top tip that it does not deserve. Presentation seems more important than quality"

"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. We submitted a reservation through this platform and explained it was our anniversary. We arrived exactly at appointed time. The entrance was a little cluttered upon our arrival as the Manager was collecting names of newly arrived guests (ours and a couple in front of us) to sort out the seating. As this was happening, another couple entered the restaurant. To make room and be considerate, my wife and I stepped aside, which allowed them to speak with the hostess. My wife and I continue chatting while waiting for our table, when the hostess sits the couple that arrived after us in our seat. There was no communication between the manager and the host, which caused us to miss out on our table. They told us to take a seat at the bar to wait for a new table to become available because all tables were occupied in the establishment. This was disappointing but they comped our first round of drinks. We decided to eat at the bar. The bartenders were excellent attentive and they made fantastic drinks. It wasn't long until we ran into more issues. When my wife attempted to order her meal, they explained they were out of Filet Mignon. Unfortunately, my wife made the choice to order the New York Strip. The cook on the steak was what we requested but there was no seasoning on the steak, like it had been forgotten entirely. We attempted to revive it by adding our own salt and pepper; it didn't work out. The restaurant removed the charge from our tab we left it. I ordered the ribeye and thought it was perfectly fine. We both enjoyed our sides: Mac Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Green Beans. We also liked the Brie and Choc Pistachio Cake. After the disappointing meal, my wife got very sick after dinner that evening. There was no other opportunity for her to get sick other than the dinner. Instead of celebrating five years of marriage in a proper manner, she was fighting for her life on the toilet."

"What a fun venue! I'm always looking for restaurants with a good selection for my vegan friend and the Westside local fills that void. Although reservations are recommended we arrived Sunday for brunch without any and were seated in less than 10 minutes. Mat , at the front was very helpful and welcoming. Our waitress, Hannah was great! She was very friendly , knowledgeable and efficient. Even though the place was jumping (and a bit loud) she never acted or made us feel rushed quite the contrary she made us feel quite welcome like regulars. The food was fantastic! My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy, mushroom gravy with no meat. I had the country Benny and it was great! We lucked out with a parking space right by the door otherwise the street parking is very limited. Highly recommend. I am sure to return soon. Thank you for a pleasant experience."

"We headed to NYAJs in Waltham the first day of lifted pandemic restrictions. What a great return to a normal dining experience! No masks, no distancing although you could still tell patrons and team members were still 'respectfully aware'.A perfect Saturday night, in a busy vibrant restaurant, sitting at the bar with wonderful bartender Bella, and enjoying a specialty Maple Old Fashioned and a Stella! After Joe's trademark yummy bread, my wife loved the Crispy Southwest Chicken, while I enjoyed a perfectly cooked Chicken Piccata with a glass of Chardonnay. Goodbye masks, goodbye plastic dividers, hello to normal dining again at NYAJs"

"My wife and I were there on Friday and the food was excellent. My wife has to order gluten-free, which is often quite difficult as most restaurants do not have enough choices for them. There were many possibilities and she chose the Chicken Piccata she loved. I had a Caesar Salat and Clam Chowder that were both excellent, especially the Chowder. Often we find that servers are either too attentive to the point are disturbing or not at all attentive, but not on our server, Michelle O. It was attentive, friendly and delivered the right balance."

"NYAJ has always been one of my favorite places to eat. I have not been in a couple of years and I was disappointed. It’s no longer the thriving place it used to be to be. The service was lacking and no spirit of teamwork and every man for themselves. We were not checked on and the personality of our server was flat. We had to ask someone else for a refill and that seemed to be an inconvenience and that was because our server only robotically came to either take order, bring drink, bring food, bring check. The prices have inflated drastically and I am sure between the lack of service, spirit, and food hike…why I see an empty restaurant on a Saturday night. I rated higher than I should have."

"Food was good, although limited when you have children. Portions are small- make sure you sit on the deck to see if Bay. Service, while we were there, there were no good people coming after us, received their food before us... our server seemed to disappear. Restaurant apologise and gave us free dessert."

"we had family here for thanksgiving and decided to dinner Friday night. we have a 2 year old, so of course we have all chosen to eat before we get it online. we come there and are started so easy so that they know that we do not serve a, b, c, d, this whole section, the whole section, etc. 3 of the adult including me selected pizzas before they go there. So we all find something else, I get kartoffel with my scorched chicken sandwich. the temperature of them was room temp best, I let them know they take them away and immediately bring me a new page of the same temperature potatoes? my waitresses said they probably have some from the same batch, which is why they are not hot. we moved from brighton, ma and went so often to watertown, because it was brilliant, I grew up in needham, where we went all the time as s family it was one of the first places I think. that was like eating in a completely different restaurant. it was just a bad experience and to round it off I was the one who could recommend it to my extra-city family. great disappointment."

"Probably the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had! From the enthusiastic greeter who confirmed closing hours over the phone, to the gentleman who opened the doors for us as we entered — the experience was A+. I went with 3 other women on a Wednesday night. We ordered cocktails, various appetizers and 4 entrees. Everything came out hot and fresh! The food was flavorful and presented well. Our server, was super upbeat and one of the owners came over to greet us. He made sure our time here was spent well and it was. Not only was it open night but a DJ was due to come later that evening. Although we didn’t stay for the DJ, the music was fun and the vibe was cool. Will definitely return when I’m back in town and my friend did return a few days after we visited the first time. Keep up the good work my brothers and sisters!! *p.s. we orders both chicken dishes, lobster and lamb"

"The hostesses need more training. We were greeted with a curt how can i help you followed by a wordless walk to our table. After we were seated, her only other comment to us was to inform us we only had 90 minutes to eat. This was not the best start to our first dinner at this restaurant. Our waiter was nice but clearly burdened by the number of tables he had and not the most charming. The vegetarian moussaka was good but was not hot. Nothing else we ordered stood out."

"Very disappointed! I had a reservation when we arrived on time , the manager gave menus to a host and told him to seat us party of 6 in a room that appeared to be an overflow room that resembled a warehouse. I asked the host if we could be seated in the main dining room and was told there was no space for us with a reservation made ! Our calamari appetizer had maybe 8 10 pieces on it, 1/2 of them tentacles. My grandson could not eat his hamburger because it tasted weird , the scallop platter had 10 small scallops that were tasty but not worth the price. Our waitress was very nice and efficient the only good thing I can say about our experience . I will definitely not return nor recommend this restaurant."

"Honestly, Not Your Average Joe's is not what it used to be. For years, my husband and I enjoyed many meals there, but my recent experiences have not been great. I understand that the prices of everything have gone up, but the quality of the food at Joe's seems to have gone down. I went to their brunch yesterday. The drinks were good, the service was excellent, but the food left something to be desired. I had the Chilaquiles, and items were left out of the dish. No black beans, no Pico de Galo, just a dish of nachos with very little cheese and a few tablespoons of adobo sauce. I was very disappointed. Sad to say but I doubt that I'll be back. I definitely won't be back for the brunch!"

I made a mistake in the evaluation for the service. it shouldn't have been four. they generally play a band and we must enjoy the second law band. beautiful that they are very close to comfortable parking. we will definitely come back."

"During our first visit, my girlfriend and I had a great time at The Port Restaurant/Bar. We were joined by a friend and were entertained by the talented Emily V, who played Rock n Roll Hits on the violin while also playing guitar and other backup music. We enjoyed some appetizers and drinks at happy hour prices. The restaurant/bar has now become a regular spot for us. Just a heads up, it can get pretty chilly inside as there is only a plastic bag overhead that is open at one end. Despite the cold, we didn't really notice it as there is a cozy fireplace near the stage in the middle of the dining room."

Consistently someone at the table was out of their beverage and had to ask even for a water refill. "The restaurant has a charming and unique interior. The food is incredibly delicious, especially the chicken sandwiches. Although I believe the original owner, Judi, may no longer be there, the restaurant still maintains its excellence. I highly recommend it."
