"Truly a hidden gem in Decatur! Our hotel receptionist recommended Diamonds when we asked about local eateries. We were not disappointed! The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were promptly seated by a friendly hostess. Our waitress, Mariah, was very friendly and personable, and made us feel welcome. We decided on the Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo with a chocolate shake, the Ribeye steak, and fried Walleye filets. Each dinner came with a salad which was brought to us within a few minutes. Our dinners came right on time, as soon as we had finished our salads. The shrimp dish was creamy, hot and delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the shrimp was tender and not overcooked, the Alfredo sauce was tasty. The chocolate milkshake was fabulous! Not too thick, but not runny either. The ribeye steak was cooked to order, and had good flavor and texture. The walleye filets were quite good, and included one extra! The side vegetable was cooked carrots, and they were done perfectly. The dessert selection display was incredible. Pies, cakes, etc. We opted for the chocolate cream pie, ordering two pieces between the three of us, not realizing how big they would be! We really would have only needed one! It was superb! An overall excellent experience, and would highly recommend. We will return for sure next time we visit Decatur!"
