"I'm only giving this place 4 stars, because our experience here was mixed. The positives: The decor and atmosphere is really cute. Laid back vibe and great music. The outdoor seating was great. We got the Baja fish tacos and the quesadillas, highly recommend!! The negatives: The service was VERY slow. On top of that the staff wasn't all that friendly and seemed mostly annoyed. We got an extra order of the veggie tacos thinking they'd be as good as the rest of what we got, but we were disappointed. Overall, good place for food. Definitely check out. But just don't get your hopes up too much for the staff to match the open, friendly atmosphere the place offers."

"Both the Quesabirria and birria tacos were greasy and lacked the typical sauce that comes with birria. The Queso Fundido came with tortillas soaked in grease and were not edible. The meat lacked seasoning and flavor. 15 dollars for two soggy tasteless tacos is not worth it. Pass on this place."

"Fantastic food and drinks in stylish surroundings. Great location! Attentive and sophisticated service. One drawback on the night we were there was that the (very good) live band was amplified. No need in such a small space and it made conversation a bit challenging. Despite that, I am recommending to friends. Great addition to the neighborhood."

"The food was delicious and the hands down THE BEST Civeche I had for years! I loved the atmosphere, although it was pretty busy. There are a few things I didn't know when I first got there. There are seating on the roof, but you can't really say it unless you look. It's super neat up there and I would have decided to dine there if I had known. The second thing ~they have a fridge filled with all spices, but again you have to look for it! The homemade chips and diving w guacamole had so great taste until our food arrived. I chose the Cantaloupe al fresco and omg it was So yummy. She had just made it and it was so delicious and refreshing on a hot day! I'd go back to Definat."

"This was so disappointing. Half the container of pernil was pure pieces of fat (the pile on the plastic container top). And thats just what I was able to pick out before trying to eat it. It was also sitting in grease. Completely unappetizing. The arroz con gandules was dry and tasted more Mexican than Puerto Rican. Fellow Puerto Ricans beware before ordering you're not getting what you're expecting."

"Really good tacos, great ambience as well. They have a lot of variety in tacos with very flavorful sauces. If you just dine using tacos, it ends up pretty expensive. The chicken taco was excellent, their fish taco was a little bland. It's always very crowded on Friday/Saturday, we went there on a weekday evening and were able to get place immediately. Overall would definitely visit again."

"Everything was tasty. Great tacos, nice thick chips, mild but good salsa, and strong margaritas. The only negative is the prices. $4—5 per small taco. Almost $10 for chips, salsa, and small guac."
