"Update from 07/26/2021 Today's Visit 09/26/21 Excellent Customer Service Delicious Food! This review is an update from a pervious review I gave two months ago. We were invited by the restaurant owners to comeback for a complementary meal on the house. My husband and I appreciate that Chicago Waffles West Loop wanted to take the opportunity to correct the mistake from our first visit. Our experience this time around was wonderful and I have nothing but positive comments. The owners reached out to us via email with their sincerest apologies about our first visit and wanted to make it up to us. They invited us back. My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon, we had a reservation for 1pm. We were greeted by the owner. We were seated in a wonderful table in a cozy area. I ordered the Cheddar Waffles and Beef Brisket with Mimosa. My husband ordered the Country Fried Chicken with Berry Mojito. The beef brisket was tender, juicy, well seasoned, the waffles were light and fluffy on the inside while golden crispy brown on the outside. I enjoyed every bite. My husband says his chicken was tender and juicy, his mojito was delicious blended well, smooth, just right. The owners also provided us with a complementary waffle flight of chocolate, red velvet, green tea, and buttermilk waffles to go. Overall this experience was great. I highly recommend Chicago Waffles West Loop. Its a great breakfast or brunch location for family, friends, dates, etc."

"we had a group of 7 on a Tuesday night, and the place was empty in a round. our service was still very slow and at one point we were asked to give up our menus so that another group could have them. (they only have 8 menus?) I am vegan and with the server made clear that the pistachio paper could be made vegan, as it was so marked on the online menu, but not the paper menu. they assured me it could be made vegan. when we ordered, I asked about the pistachio palace made vegan. When it arrived, it would be. the service was already slow and I didn't want to cause a scene (and I'm not allergic to cheese or something,) so I just ate it and it wasn't good. it was lukewarm with bells made of molten gridded parmesan that had coagulated again. it wasn't very much eating, but it was worth $17. really not. a waste of money. one of my friends ordered the fish tacos and they did not come with all the others. the server said it will be 2 minutes, but it was literally at least 15 minutes later when he got to be eating, all the others were almost finished eating. the rest of my non-vegan friends said that eating is good in the round. seems like mediocre food quality for a fairly steep price and the service is very lacking. I'm not back. also this Yelp page says that they need masks and the personal wears masks – that is not true. the personal wore no masks (can be a person) and they didn't need to wear masks."
