"I just might have to finally move from NYC if Bonsignour is ever no longer in NYC and without a special, cute, tiny, quiet, and charming location. I have been going to Bonsignour for about as long as I have been a New Yorker.Shortly after moving to the city I was lucky enough to have had the chance to briefly stay at a friends penthouse apartment in the West Village and that’s when and how I discovered it.Besides going here for coffee (normally by myself so that I can have some peaceful alone time), this place is also fabulous and great for yummy lunch options like their avocado salad.Prices for the food can of course be a bit m pricey for those of us without trust funds or elitist jobs, but not really so if you judge it by it’s quality and compared to everything else, including Whole Foods food. It’s at least a great little spot for an old school New York like moment (before all the stupid jumbo high rises started going up) and a treat for your taste buds and tummy.Regarding the standard coffee, I am a coffee and cream gal who is extremely picky about expensive coffee and I have always loved my coffee here.By comparison, La Colombe and 787 Coffee are pretty much the only other places I go to for standard brewed coffee in Manhattan if I really want to treat myself to luxury instead of my go to deli favorite coffee cart spots near USQ which are simply closer to me than Bonsignour. (On occasion I’ll also go to Devoción on 20th street or Grumpy’s in the LES).Hope you all enjoy! CocaColaMia"
