"Having been to the original under the Brooklyn Bridge, I was really looking forward to this. And I wasn't disappointed by the pizza; it's thin and crispy, not at all like a New York slice but also not thin and airy like a Neapolitan pie (which is my favorite). This is more like a New Haven style pie; crispy to the edges but with an amazing brick oven flavor, having been cooked at 1200 degrees in a coal-burning brick oven. The toppings were fresh and plentiful and the sauce was simple and sweet, as I expected. What DID disappoint me was the wait. The restaurant was less than half empty during the late lunch hours on a Saturday and it still took well over 30 minutes to get a pizza that takes no more than 3 minutes in the oven to cook. Being gluttons for punishment, we tried to order a cannoli afterwards but that also took so long that we just decided to cancel it. I'm not sure where the disconnect was; our server was perfectly pleasant and seemed like he was keeping busy with all of his tables.. perhaps a bottle neck near the oven? Who knows these days. So anyway, definitely a four star pizza. But with crazy wait times you might be better off ordering online and just picking it up."
