"We had a 7:30 appointment and was told we would be sat on the lower level at a round table, we had a party of 7 and two senior citizens, one had a broken pelvis recently the other was 92, we had to wait 30 minutes or more, we were told another party stayed 31/2 hours and they could not ask them to rush, instead making us wait, another group came in and got the table we were promised down stairs, so we had to treck upstairs and that’s when things got worse, we only were given 3 glasses of water and not silverware or napkins to accommodate 7 people, we had two square tables put together upstairs and we could not converse well, we ordered and they brought out what I was told was lobster bisque, I saw no lobster it was more like a dark Roux sauce with what was maybe crabmeat. We had one little bit of bread for a party of seven and we were not served until 9 p.m.. we had a spill on the table which we had to clean up ourselves, we asked for more cloth napkins and were given the little white napkins. Our waiter tried very hard, as it was New Year’s Eve, he told us he was having trouble getting bus staff or anything he needed upstairs where we were seated and apologized for the poor service and lack of attention our table got. We were never told ahead that it was a prefix Mew Years Eve menu so the menu sent out with open table had been studied by the 7 and nothing we anticipated ordering was on this over priced pre- fix menu, I was never offered wine nor dessert, the $48 Ribeye was very tough and like a cheap cut of meat. Honestly we all agreed that we would not go back to this restaurant. Had we know about the upstairs situation with 2 seniors and the lack of staff we would have opted for another restaurant but being New Years Eve we felt compelled to stick it out. A very strange attitude and lack of care for the guests were in place, the person calling the shots for seating should not share staffing problems or the fact that people would not get up."
