"My children and I are trying new restaurants and this one is close to my son?s barbershop. I was excited to try a black owned barbecue spot, so we stopped in! My son and I had pulled pork platters. I had Mac and cheese and collards and he had Mac and cheese and fried okra. My daughter got buffalo dipped wings and fries. I also ordered the small hush puppies. Her meal came with tea, but the sweet cashier allowed my son and me to get a drink too because she knew the wait would be long. My order was placed at 7:22 and we didn?t get our food until 8PM. I?m not complaining about the wait because the food was fresh. My pulled pork was good, the fried okra and hush puppies were good. I did not like the Mac and cheese at all because it had a strong onion taste. The collards were not seasoned well at all. My daughter?s wings and fries were good though. The cornbread was a hard NO! It was super dry. Overall, I would go back and try something different. I read a review that said the sides weren?t the best, so I?ll try to find something I like. Definitely worth a try though!"
