"I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. My friends and I decided to visit after being turned away from some of the trendy spots in Southport on a Monday night. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a few beers. Our server, Alejandro, was excellent and provided us with great recommendations. We were amazed to discover that all drafts were only $4 after our second round of drinks. The food, including tenders and fries, was delicious and perfect for a bar setting. The restaurant had a large selection of drafts, a great patio, delicious food, and excellent service. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"This could be a gem of a place but the night we dined, they were short on waitstaff , the food took a long time to get to our table and then seemed overdone. Unfortunately, it was too cold, otherwise, this looks like the perfect place for sitting outside on the patio with a view of the river, open air and energetic city vibes."

"Definitely not worth the money. I got a small meats pizza and they didn't put bacon on it, which comes on it. I also got a vegetarian pizza, and the mushrooms smelled old. Also the salt on the tables were wet and I poured it on my pizza before noticing. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the cashier was polite."

"It was our first time eating here and we had a very pleasant experience! Zoey, our waitress was very helpful with the menu choices. We liked the idea of shared plates and took advantage of the smash burger special! The Bourbon flight was a fun surprise for our guest from Kentucky. "We both had the wild mushroom and swiss. Asked for it rare/as rare as they would cook it, came out medium rare. Great sauce on it kept it from being a dry burger. Very messy but very good. One order of fries and one of sweet potato fries, both came out with regular fries. Eric, the manager, realized the order was wrong as soon as he put it on our table and went back to the kitchen to get sweet potato fries. They were okay, not great. Server was very attentive."

"The onion soup was cold. The sandwiches were greasy. I heard another couple complaining about their food right behind us, seems that their dinner was swimming in grease. I was supposed to get a surprise birthday desert with a candle for my wife and that didn't happen. Overall, for the price I would have done much better at the West End or the Brick Tavern. I can't believe that these guys are so much more expensive. Very disappointed. First visit, last visit. Way to impress your customers."

"We had a party for about 50 people. Stephanie, Tony, and their team made a meaningful party special for all who attended. Their communication throughout the planning was always very clear and timely. We arrived to a warm welcome and were taken care of from start to finish by a professional, caring, and fun team. We didn’t hear any complaints from the guests, only joy and gratitude. The East on Main team made it so there were no concerns, only a good time with delicious food and drinks.I recommend this place for not only dinner but to hold an event. "Never order soda!! All of them are flat and apparently this is a common complaint according to staff. Went for Sunday brunch. The burger with fried egg not good. Fried egg over cooked, burger over cooked and the bacon under cooked. French fries came when we finished and were decent. Eggs Benedict, the English muffin was soggy, potatoes were less than a spoonful. Don’t bother!! The only reason for a 2 star was the waitress was very nice."

"Forbearance! Platz is hands down the worst pizza place I've ever experienced. The pizza was undercooked and just plain awful. I ordered delivery tonight, and the pizza looked like it had been tossed around in the box, with the cheese sticking to the top. I even pointed this out to the delivery person, but there's a reason I chose delivery in the first place. I've never seen anyone complain openly about undercooked pizza there in all these years. To make matters worse, the wings were overly salty. I wouldn’t have felt the need to write this review if I hadn’t been treated so poorly. I just had to share my experience."

"Google tells me the last time I was here, was 4 years ago. I can't believe I waited so long to come back This place is great. We started out with the chefs special blackened ahi tuna, I would've sworn we received a double portion, it was huge and delicious. We both had French onion soup and massive salads. Our waitress was wonderful and definitely look forward to coming back again soon."
