"We searched Sushi for the whole 17 mile drive and the scenic Carmel-by-the-sea scene adventure... has a fast Google search and Zum has often been mentioned. We got here before closing. It is a small institution and it is busy. a good sign of course. We ordered their Seaside Roll, uni/sea urchin (market price or $20 at the time of order), and two chefs choice (omakase). We were surprised that the food came in a boat. It was a nice touch. I would say To is hard to beat for what you get. The part of the fish was generous. I wish there was more university to rice ratio, but I didn't feel sad. I have not tried any other sushi spots in this area, but I can confidently say this place has good value and quality at a reasonable price (if you miss the uni haha). Try this when you're in the area!"
