"EXTREMELY OVERRATED...Great selection of smoked cured fish.Sweets looked good.Sometimes, the Legend doesn 't live on. Countless eateries have come and gone in NYC. Thanks to Maps Reviews from the clueless, some that shouldn 't, linger. That 's what really aggrevates me, more than this place.Should be embarrassed to call what they serve a bagel. That alone is enough to board up the place. Stored in plastic bags....The person who served me was very nice, but the counter moves at less than a snails pace. An attempt at making the place seem relevant. The Star of the show, a bearded gentleman who seemed to run the counter, has more negative facial expressions for the oblivious customers than a silent film star. If you don 't wanna work there, leave.The whitefish and salmon salad was average at best.Tourist and younger people, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, Stop checking boxes by patronizing these places to send them a message. Get your act together or do us a favor and fade away to make room for places that will work for your dollars. The nestalga train has left the building."
