"No valet parking, which is uncommon for Federal Hill restaurants. Out of calamari at 4:30 pm. Also out of the dinner I had ordered of a somewhat limited menu. Asked to share a salad which they split and charged us $4 to do so. Overall a disappointing experience"

"We were in the city of NYC for a few nights. We ordered from a few local places, and our best experience was with Frank 's. We didn't know what was good, so we ordered some items in the first night. After a not so great experience that was ordered by a local diner for breakfast, we went back with Frank's in the second night. My children who are super picky have torn off the pizza and chicken fingers. The salads were fresh and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Hoagies also get a thumb. I was surprised that the Fried Shrimp Platter was basically popcorn shrimp, but my son ate it so that a thumb also gets. My daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs. Overall delicious and comfortable."

"I went to lunch with a friend today. I ordered lunch Special of Chicken Parm, with Ziti. When our order arrived, I was amazed at the very generous size of the part I received. Lunch Special was more food, then serve some places for dinner. The waiter who helped us was extremely attentive and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, both Tenafly residents who might not have tried it, and visitors. I think they are very happy here"

"I typically enjoy the food at this restaurant, but my experience with the gluten-free chicken parm was disappointing. The chicken was extremely thin and overcooked, almost splintering. The sauce on the pasta was watery and running off. It was a shame that we drove all the way from Eatontown for the food. I'm not sure if we'll make that trip again. This used to be my go-to spot for gluten-free Italian food, but after giving it another chance on October 2nd, I was thoroughly disappointed. The pasta was undercooked, the sauce was unappetizing, and the meatballs were rubbery and lacked flavor. The gluten-free garlic bread was simply a toasted hot dog roll for $10. It was a horrible experience and I will not be returning. I recommend anyone in need of gluten-free options to look for another restaurant."

"stopped to grab two discs to go on a Tuesday afternoon. I made her go and go. because it was a nice day, I decided to sit on one of the outside tables they had. I couldn't even open my pizzendose before the dame came in the inner one that was expelled that I sat on one of the outer ones. “Outside seats are only for dunes” is what she yells at me with such attitude. Now I can understand if the place was hoping on a Saturday night or something where people wait for tables, but there was no one there. No person sitting inside or outside. if I had a restaurant, I would probably want someone to sit outside eating on a day I had no one. Maybe someone goes by and says I'd like to take a disc and sit outside. more business? art of free advertising. so long story short I eat my food in my truck and since I type this review, there was not a customer who came. I will not go back just because, how rude I was treated. it is also a scandal because the pizza was really good."

"My fiancé and I loved our experience in Portofinos! The staff was attentive, friendly and punctual. We ordered the Calamari and it was delicious! The Auberginen-Rollatini was the best I ever had! The Ricotta cheese really turned out. My fiancée had the chicken french and couldn't lay down his fork. "Amazing food for the most part but drinks mixed were terrible. What awful triple sec do you guys use? Certainly not cointreu. A cosmopolitan is supposed to be cloudy and taste great with hints of freshly squeezed lime juice and a hint of syrup... a cosmo doesn't taste like 90% cranberry juice and 10% vodka. "We've been customers for 20 years since we moved to the area. They are a large family and have always consistently provided great food and service. We have inaugurated, ordered to go and delivered meals. You also looked after our parties and family dinners, and I can never remember ever having problems. We have been pulled out of the state since then and go for a few meals when we visit back. We recently had my son's graduation party when we came home last weekend.
