"What can I say- this is one of the best restaurants in all of Usedom. I had set my eyes on this place the first time we came to the Baltic Sea and finally, more than a year later, I got the chance. It is...part of the renowned, luxurious Ahlbecker Hof hotel, and the one quality here that immediately blows your mind is the incredible decor. First of all, it completely reminds you of Thailand- the ornamentation and furniture is all glamorous from the ceilings to the floors. It is completely an experience just to walk to your table and sit down; the friendly waiters and waiters are dressed in a traditional outfit, and everything is served in a luxurious Thai style. This wonderful atmosphere was especially impressive at night, when the lighting from all the lamps correlated wonderfully with the dark glass roof from the sky. The food, in addition, was absolutely delicious and cam extremely quickly (I'd say around minutes after we ordered). I ordered a Mutsaman Curry with crispy duck, and the combination of flavours as well as the texture were lovely. A stereotype of higher end restaurants is that the portion sizes are always small, however I did not even order a appetiser and the portion size was perfect for me here, so they have definitely excelled in that field. Because of this, I found the food and beverages well priced; my dish was however this was one of the more expensive dishes as duck is usually quite high-cost I'd say the average price for a main course would be around or `Euros, and when you take into account the stunning interior and service, this is just the right price for this class restaurant. The only thing I can comment on was the music in the background; instead of playing Thai Music, Whitney Houston was playing during our dinner here. Personally, I didn't mind it, especially already having Thai decor, Thai food and waiters/waitresses dressed in Thai outfits, although I think having Thai music would even further enhance the wonderfulness of the restaurant, making the already unforgettable experience even more unforgettable. There is no doubt I am returning."

Danke trotzdem."

"If you want high dining, it's definitely a place you can't miss. Choose your menu and let yourself with the beautiful landscape of the carefully pre-paddled dining room, miles away from the modern trend of the simple style. – This does not mean that the place is overloaded. – It only makes a homogeneous whole with the beautiful XIXc. builging and the sea. In my four course menu, the star was definitely the dove, prepared in various ways. Each piece of meat was incredibly juicy, soft and full of taste. It was served with an incredible sauce of glittering and silky texture and earthy taste. – Overall – only epic. The wine served with it was also fantastic – Prunotto, Barbera d`Alba was definitely the perfect choice. – Light and fruity, from a slightly smoky taste, emphasizes every single note of the perfect bird. The scallops were also fantastic, so delicate, perfectly cooked and the cauliflower made a perfect basis to expose the beautiful truffle sauce. Another delicacies – the dessert! – Chocolate and Rhabarb. – The Rhabarb – a rather difficult fruit that both cook and serve – was presented here beautifully: no fiber, not mad at all, but live the fantastic taste of chocolate. The liqueur wine served with the dish was delicious: sweet, fruity, but by no means exaggerated the dish. But if I think about it now, there would be a easier choice. – The dish was very well balanced and did not need any additional sugar... Still, the game was nice. Perhaps it would also be worth trying with a crispy sauvignon blanc from Marlborough to make the Rhabarb a star of the plate? ... Greetings from the kitchen were fantastic. Let me just start with the homemade bread, which is served with a large olive oil and tomato butter, and the perfect grapefruit sorbet with an apple crunch to clean our taste buds. The service was immaculate. The waiter showed a great knowledge of the dishes and drinks he offers, and could answer all my questions about the menu and the wines – if not, he was happy to ask in the kitchen. We were told to the boss that he introduces a new menu every month.... Try it."
