"This is probably the BEST restaurant we 've been to in the recent short staffed, terrible service era. Service and staff are excellent! Everyone is over friendly, treating you like you 're the only customer in the place. We were there on a busy Fridaybut were seated right away (came before 6). The food is excellent! I had chicken alfredo and my husband had a deep dish pizzaplus cheesy bread for an app. I wish this place was close to home for us because we 'd probably be here every week butunfortunately, we were just passing through."

"This place was great! We stopped in from out of town not knowing what to expect and it was fabulous. Food was great, service was wonderful and prices were very reasonable. It was very clean and, despite it being packed, wasn’t too loud to enjoy our dinner together. There’s also a beautiful painting on the wall of the neighboring building that was quite astonishing, sit outside if the weather permits. Lovely place!"

"First time here and the reviews I read did not fabricate how great this place is! My husband and I shared the appetizer sampler, it was fantastic! The chips and salsa were so fresh and tasted wonderful. Finished the meal with the best fried ice cream ever!! The staff was very attentive, we never wanted for anything! Last of all the view, right on Lake Huron (see my picture)! Great place and we can't wait to go back!!"

"The best in town. Best Chinese and only Thai in town. Would recommend your Thai menu over everything as long as you can afford a little hot spices. Chicken Pad Ped (Thai item) is the popular menu item, with Thai Spicy Chicken Fried Rice as close second. Beef Teriyaki and Crab Wonton are excellent and they make egg drops better than traditional (it has cabbage, carrot pieces, and has less food coloring and until I can say no maize syrup tastes more like homemade soup, but is still delicious icy). I have to try something else on the menu I didn't like. The only torment I have is that I can not eat there often because I have a penny pincher and the menu is a little pricy for me, and sometimes the buffet will stale (but they will always update when you ask). Great restaurant!"

"This is a great place for a burger. If you've never had cheese curds give them a try, they're like a cheese stick just better, The prices are great for the quality you get. I didn't give this location 5 stars because the tables always seem to be dirty and the staffs attitude is ok. I've never had a bad interaction with anyone, but they've complained about their job and the table thing shows a clear lack of pride."

"Greatest place I have ever stumbled upon. My brother and I travel around the state for work once a month and we stop here every time we come to alpena. The atmosphere here is so comfortable and inviting. The service is extremely fast, I dont know how they get the food out so fast and exceptional. We won't eat breakfast just so we can have an empty stomach to eat all of the lunch. There is nothing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend, it's phenomenal. I wish they had one out by me in Macomb!"

"Great food, unique in interesting ways. My husband had a build your own burger with a veggie portobello burger and I had the grass fed beef Island Bum, minus the jalapeños but with added roasted beets. I loved all the extra veggies you could get as sides or toppings. So much I wanted to try! Had a Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout delicious. Chocolate Lava cake and their special of the day, pumpkin roll for dessert. Very good."

"I ordered the steak dinner with brussel sprouts and more. It was amazing and came out pretty fast. The chefs at the back are A1 compared to other places and states I visited. The only complaint I have is that I overheard a woman working in the front that was not very nice to other employees and a few customers. Will definitely come back for dinner. Get up!"

"Coffee break has been a tradition with my children and now grands for many a year. Decided to come and enjoy the day in Alpena together. Cabin Creek is becoming a nice place to spend a little time catching up and enjoying a few laughs. Was a hopping place to be today. "Returned from Presque Isle when we reached John Boys Restaurant for a quick bite. Place is open around the clock, which was brilliant, but we showed at 1 o'clock and was quickly waited and had a very friendly waitress. The waiting period for the food was a bit long, but the place was full of people (we also had 7 in our party) so that it was to be expected. The food was served hot and delicious! I recommend the onion rings Club Sandwich. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and pictures on the wall and would definitely stop."

"this place is a unique and a friendly restaurant. great food, service and very friendly! it began with wonderful brot, generous rehearsals of beer, to an incredible escape. I had the scallops risotto that was excellent! the meal ended with a made in the house amazing dessert. chocolate peanut buttercake. our waiter heard that it was our jubilee and that was dessert on the house! highly recommended and we will return safely when we travel back to this wise!"

Was disappointed by this place the few times I eat there at that time (used to eat at them downstate daily with excellent service. Vase improvement at this point!!! They were decently employed for a Wednesday evening, yet an excellent job! Our server, Austin, was in training, it was his second day, I would go back and like to request a table from him! "We've been coming here for years and the food was always amazing. The service was always good and friendly. The food is consistent and fresh. This Mongolian beef has set a standard for me and I don't even want to order it differently because I'm afraid to be disappointed. The sesame and the generals chickens are both delicious and the best I ever had. The house Chicken is also! I love the chicken soup. The crabs are perfectly filled with their own crab and cream cheese filling. Try the duck sauce!"

"All we can say is this place is excellent! We visited Alpena for our 50th wedding anniversary and found this little gem to eat at. Jenni greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and she is so friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. We had a pizza and it was amazing! Two days later we went back and I had the spaghetti and my wife had lasagna....again AMAZING food! Charlie, one of the chefs, came out and asked if we were pleased with our meals, which we were very pleased. I can't wait to go back someday!"
