"General: Our last Greek food has been back for a while. We have not visited this house for more than a year. Even if the weather does not necessarily play along – it is quite snowy – we decide to implement our plan to visit. Conclusion for the very fast reader: for a small village in the Leinetal an amazingly good restaurant. Eating tastefully good with some not quite everyday events. And there are Ducksteiner from the barrel in the sink – this is rather rare in Greek restaurants. Also this evening we will receive again kindly. It is still relatively early, yet some tables of the restaurant are occupied. But don't worry, there's always room in this house for the rich space. Whether the weather is cold – that's why it takes us to a cozy, cuddly place that we don't necessarily find. No, it's not cold, but we'd get a cracking fire right now... We therefore opt for a presumably favorable place, which then also provides sufficient heat. Now we'll get the map. And of course the drinks asked. The kids decide fast, I'm inconclusive. When serving drinks, I also discovered the beloved Ducksteiner and order it. What does the map offer? 8 cold appetizers starting with Tzatziki for 3,30€ over feta for 4,90€ up to mezes (dialog after selection of chef) for 8,50 enough choice. The 7 hot appetizers start at 3.90 for filled peperoni and end at 6 grilled shrimps with cocktail sauce for 6.90. From the grill we have another 20 dishes to choose from: Gyros for 9,30, Rumpsteak for 16, € to the Lamb Plate for 21. €. Then 7 fish dishes – I have never eaten fish at the Greeks before – except on holiday. There he was. 10 Pfännchengerichte – also not bad. Gyros in spicy metaxas sauce for 10,80 for example. Or 3 pork fillet in Cassisrahmsoße for 14.80. Is there something more baked? Here the selection with 5 dishes is slightly lower, from the oven there are 4 dishes. For the dear little ones there are also 4 dishes to choose from – here the prices are between 5,00 and 6,20 – Gyros, Suflaki, Suzuki or Schnitzel is offered. All dishes are served with a small mixed salad. The one to choose. We order Tzatziki as an appetizer a portion of Pommes Suzuki only with Pommes (l. card with fries and rice), 9,00€ Souvlaki only with fries (l. card with fries and rice), 10.30€ Ouzo plate (Gyros, 2 Suzuki, 1 Suflaki, also only with fries (l. card with fries and rice) After just a short waiting period, Tzatziki is served as an appetizer with white bread. The white bread is slightly oily and probably a little roasted on the grill. Honestly – fresh, best homemade, white bread I prefer. The Tzaziki but again a real genus: nice creamy, pleasantly strong does not season too sharp. And the mixed salad will be served. 5 servings, sorry, the 5 servings are just fries. But get salad anyway. A very nice gesture. I have rarely seen the salad as mixed in a Greek restaurant: different leaf salad, some herb salad, paprika (laid), corn, olive, red bean, mild peperoni. Everything wonderfully beautifully mixed. Unfortunately, only with a little convincing finish dressing. For me, it could be merciful – others would probably have excited themselves. After a short waiting period, the food is served. Ouzoplatte and Souvlaki are already described in previous review – even today one was very satisfied. Three Suzuki in neat size, with Tzaziki on salad leaf, then the Pommes – with the salad hardly to create. The lamb fillets: delicate, sauce exactly according to my taste with some small pieces of paprika. Pommes all right – but I've already eaten better. Overall but definitely recommended. Next time I take rice... In the meantime, an ouzo was already served. Now we are actually well saturated but the house is waiting with a little surprise: for the kids a ball of ice cream with plenty of cream. The parents look back into the tube – we thought. But we also serve a fruit cocktail with neat cream. A very nice gesture – but we prefer the Greek yogurt... Conclusion: Our good impression of the last visit is confirmed. A neat kitchen performance, nice and attentive service, the little surprise at the end nice – an original Greek variant would have been better for us. And if it's a bit warmer next time, there's a little more star at the "Ambiente"..."
