"The front of the house service is very attentive, warm, and polite here, which is refreshing. Brelundi restaurant is a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages such as wine, and imported sparkling mineral water. They will offer you bread. They are making house cured mortadella, etc, which really impressed me. I enjoyed their eggplant Caponata on their anti pasti plate, whose sauce is sweet with golden raisins, and their buttery proscuitto. The eggplant is cubed and braised in the marinara sauce as is traditional. They served kalamata and large green Spanish ? Pitted olives with the Antipasto. They served the Antipasto with fried chick pea flat bread whose name eludes me Crespelle ? It has a nice, nutty flavor though was a teeny bit greasy. They sell imported pastas. The restaurant pretty much aims to make diners feel welcome as in complimentary dishes used to be sent out to diners frequently, which I know for a non Italian might be a difficult concept to comprehend. This is the cultural practice of abbondanza. A family place. My entire immediate family save myself ate here once and had a fun time. I was invited but was trying to heal a rift so didn 't attend. Our family tradition kind practice of the silent treatment continued with gusto. : )Reportedly, my immediate family enjoyed the Arancini on that visit but were completely confused by the executed practice of Abbondanza at Brelundi restaurant that evening. They told me that I missed a good time. Not to fret ! I returned with my sibling and had pizza, and she had the soup, which she likes. My immediate family still pigged out on the free Tiramisu and other complimentary desserts that were generously sent their way that evening, so no worries there. It 's my opinion, but not necessarily creed, that gift horses shouldn 't be looked in the mouth. I think now post pandemic and with steeply inflationary times the generous free desserts at Brelundi became a bygone luxury. The restaurant has a patio and patio dining in warm weather. They now serve breakfast. Their pizza is good. The restaurant is located next to the Waltham Watch Factory Museum on the Charles River in Waltham, in the actual old Waltham Watch building, which is an enormous, long, sturdy, renovated and repaired red brick factory warehouse building which incidentally rents large converted studio Condominiums. Diners can stroll on the beautiful Charles River way and even out on the dock all the way to The Cove park in Auberndale, MA. Pretty dogwoods and apple trees abut the path."

"I've written a couple of reviews about Charcoal Guido's and here's yet another but it is sort of a double review I was up in Waltham visiting my son for his birthday week and we went to CG for a dinner. As expected, the beer and cider were cold and delish. The pizza (one pepperoni and one grilled sweet sausage were great (I'm a born and bred New Yorker and I am very critical with respect to pizza . I'm sure there are other good pizza places in Waltham but I like Charcoal Guidos plus it is just up the street from where my son lives. Desert was cannolis which were also good. The other great thing about eating here is the service Gaby (Gabi ? was our server. Personable and friendly and just damn good at her job. The topper is the second review. I unfortunately wasn't going to be around on my sons birthday so in his birthday card I left him and told him to go back up Moody Street for a nice Charcoal Guido's dinner. He really didn't want to go by himself but his old man was adamant so he went. I called Charcoal Guidos and asked if there was a single guy in the restaurant and they said yes. I told the person I spoke with (I regret not getting her name that it was my sons birthday and I wasn't able to be there. She told me she would be sure to say happy birthday to him and tell some of the other staff. Needless to say my 31 year old son was a bit embarrassed (that's still part of a parents job, isn't it? but I know he also appreciated it. A two fer positive review. Well done and thanks to the staff at Charcoal Guido's. I'll be back !"

"I 've only had beers at this place and tonight, being tired of left over holiday foods at home, I ordered for pick-up for the first time and knew I was going to be late and asked to please keep the food warm and arrived late (35 minutes after the order was placed) as expected which was my fault-I 'll admit that. I paid for the order checked it and asked if it could be warmed and was told the kitchen is closed (it was about 10:35 Pm- i went there because it was advertised that they close at 11)They had me speak to a manager and I tried to return the cold burger and they simply would not take it back!! That was very frustrating. I get to my car and bite into the sad, cold burger and it was bright red. I had asked for Well-done so this made matters worse. I couldnt eat it so i call the beloved John 's tavern. I can 't belive they refused to take back the order and gave me so much push back and the female manager, whose name I can 't recall, talked to me in a very condescending tone telling me she 's been talking to her co workers about the burger sitting there as they waited for me to pick it up so they can leave for the night (30 minutes prior to the advertised closing time) and finishes with, do you understand after she denied to take the food back that I 'm refusing to eat because it 's cold and even if it was right off the grill, it was not made how i had requested. It was still a very rare piece of meat and being Caribbean I CANT eat that! I dont like beef thats not cooked thoroughly. Thats not something youll ever see served in our culture which is why i stressed Well done at inception of the order. There was no need for the tonality that bordered disrespect and push back like i was being scolded for making, what i belived, a viable request. I understand how tiresome it can be working in a restaurant during the holidays so i remained kind though my eyes twitched in silent rage! They could have been a lot more accommodating but for whatever reason (i believe its because I 'm BLACK and i wonder if there have been any other situations that made any other person feel as small and dejected) they decided not to be accommodating. I hate to bring race into it but the way she spoke to me was laced with prejudice and adding we would have said no to ANYONE else with that type of tonality and saying, do you understand in that condescending tone made me feel so small and spat on. Being made feel so insignificant and worthless left my thoughts racing and It made think that if it were to be a person of Anglo-Saxon origin, she would have been a LOT more acquiescent. I 'm so livid writing this and know very well nothing will come of it. No business should EVER HAVE A PAYING CUSTOMER FEEL THIS ANGRY ABOUT A BAD PURCHASE AND REFUSE TO RECTIFY IT. My feelings are sincerely hurt. I feel as though my mouth was forcefully pried open and they took turns spitting down my throat. I wish I got the female managers name. I don 't want to EVER STEP FOOT INSIDE THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN though it 's probably the preferable choice for the s probably ideal for them. I guarantee you if there were a back entrance to the building, they would have advised me to enter through there. if you 're a person of Color with standards and self respect, go eat somewhere else in the area. Fry up eggs on hot concrete, chew gravel if you must, you 'll probably be better off.If the manager was speaking to me and making me feel so terrible, there is clearly something wrong with training and they should have them take a hostess/restaurant decorum training course to make sure people are not walking away on the brink of tears over something that could have EASILY BEEN FIXED had some effort been put in by the night manager.I thought I 'd find solace in sharing my experience but as I type this, it makes me more angry...I still haven 't eaten."

"Ended up here kind of randomly after an appointment. I would never have expected a restaurant to be in this building, but if I worked in one of these buildings I'd be going here all the time. The restaurant is huge, it feels like the love child of a cafeteria and a sports bar/lounge. I got there around 5:00. Was a bit confused about where to go and what was what. But I scanned the QR code and fumbled my way through. They also have screens you can order off of inside at the counter if your cell is dead or something but that is not readily apparent when you enter. I'm quickly becoming a fan of toast tab, which this restaurant uses. You can order as soon as you are ready and pay right away. The food came out a lot earlier than the estimate toast gave me. The turkey sandwich I had was delicious as were the parm fries. I had to squeeze the mayo from little tubes myself which was a bit annoying. But over all I enjoyed it. They had beverages from the tractor company organic beverage co. Which I do not like very much but also am so intrigued I really need to taste them all. I tried the coconut soda.... and that was weird, but kind of pleasing? and it made me feel like I was drinking sunscreen. I am going to try them all but after I do, I don't think I'll ever have to try them again... This restaurant has a large selection of beer. I was not there for drinking today though, would like to sometimeI got there at 5:30ish and it seemed to transition from it's business day to it's night life look. It felt like as soon as some guys came in to get beers they turned the music on and up. On the way out I took a peak at their deck, which had fire tables. All in all, I had a great experience. The 4 rating is because I think there needs to be some clear signage telling you to enter the restaurant and go up to the counter for pick up/questions/help you may need that an app cannot give you."
