"I needed a quote for 65 people for a memorial service. I live out of state so I called the business. The owner picked up and kindly explained how the catering works. The price was much lower for two kinds of meats, rice, hummus, pita bread, salad and baklava compared to the Olive Tree Cafe. They were able to accommodate my request for 1/2 beef and 1/2 chicken as well. They were nice and emailed me an estimate quickly. I needed a grazing board with vegetables, fruit, meat and cheese, even though they don't do this normally they were able to provide a quote. These people are genuinely good people and super easy to communicate with. I can not wait to try their food when im in town!"

"The server was very over saturated with tables. We waited quite a while before she stopped by, and again for water. She seemed totally happy and was very upbeat, very nice and congenial, but had to apologize constantly for being away so long. Our food took quite a while, and was good, except my daughter did not care for the root vegetable au gratin just wasn’t her taste. We got the famous coconut cake, which was delicious, and also the white chocolate creme brûlée, also excellent. Our first visit was not up to expectations, so maybe we will try again some other time to see if this was just a temporary occurrence."

"Ok, so we had high expectations coming in. This place is very hyped up. We managed to snag last minute reservations for 530pm on a Monday. We were very impressed with the service. Very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. It was our babymoon, and the menu itself said Happy babymoon , which was a special touch. Food wise, we 're giving Husk 3/5 stars because it really didn 't knock our socks off. In fact, we only liked 3 out of the 5 dishes we ordered. Out of those, we only really highly recommend 1. Here 's what we got, starting with the dishes we liked the best: #1: Broadbent country ham, buttermilk biscuits, husk pickles, lusty monk mustard YUM. Like a southern charcuterie board, as it was described by our server. #2: Cornmeal fried catfish, white cheddar grits, collard greens this was really good too, but not something I would feel compelled to order again. The catfish by itself was okay, but a bite with the catfish, grits, and collard greens together was wonderful! #3: Sweet potato bread pudding with toasted marshmallow too sweet for me, but my husband really liked it. #4: Lamb dumplings, okra, chermulah honey yogurt, pecan dukkah did not like these, and they weren 't particularly hot when they came out. Strange because this one came highly recommended by our server. #5: Hearth baked skillet cornbread, broadbent 's bacon crumble how could this not be good???? But it really wasn 't. It was dry and had very little flavor. We didn 't finish this, which is very unlike us."

"The food here has really gone downhill. The escargot was made with straight butter not clarified butter which made it heavy and impossible to eat. The mussels had very little flavor. The duck was served with no sauce, very dry. The salmon was overcooked and flavorless. The duck croquettes had a weird consistency. The only good thing was the crème brûlée. The service was good given what he has to work with. Overall I'll never go back."

I had the scallops and charleston gold rice. it was outstanding! the tears melt in my mouth. the skalopps were crispy outside and tasty soft in the middle. my friend had the grilled heavy fish and she loved it so much she said it was the only best dish on our whole trip. for the side we had grotten (okay, collar green (to vinegary for me) and crispy bruise (very good! ."

"my man and I had lunch here on Saturday afternoon and had a great experience. the wait was short and the service was excellent. all the staff we met were friendly and pleasant. we sat on the veranda and enjoyed the view on charleston with perfect weather. they are used to start free maisbrot and honeybutter. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and my man was fried. both were fresh with the perfect crispy texture. the aromen were delicious and balanced good. the fries were also perfect and crispy/soft. I ordered a lavender martini that was delicious. they can really taste the vanilla wodka I loved. we would definitely go back! it was a good mood."
