"Firstly, the employees are very nice and welcoming. However, we were a little disappointed with Pig Out on Cortez Rd. We went for dinner on a Friday eve and the place was practically empty--which always makes me nervous as to the freshness of the food. Also, none of the staff were wearing masks! We wanted to turn and leave right then and should have. Give me a break! Every other business in town are wearing masks! On to the food: Catfish was slimy. Mac and cheese was clearly old and tasted like dish water. Some other items we had were good, tho. It wasn 't ALL bad. They have good BBQ. I just wonder about freshness. We 've eaten at their Cortez location (to-go and dine-in) and while it seems busier it still has given us intestinal issues after eating there on more than one occasion. Maybe it 's the sauce or fat content? I may give it another go for pickup as they do make decent BBQ. They need to wear masks and keep an eye on old side dishes that might be past their prime! If youre looking for good BBQ and are an anti-masker, than this is the place for YOU!"
