"Food was great. Service could have been better. The first host was kind and asked us to wait a few minutes. The second host made us feel like we were an inconvenience for arriving at 8:25, telling us, “I’ll see if we have a table for you and the kitchen closes at 9.” After reminding her we had an 8:30 reservation, she told us to wait and they would clear a table for us. The first host took us to the table and apologized for the second host’s attitude saying, “she just wants to go home.” Once we sat down, we asked how the server was and he proceeded to tell us that he was tired and couldn’t wait to go to bed. Even if he felt that way, which is totally fine, it’s not something patrons want to hear as they sit down for a meal. Having been here on a few occasions, this was by far the most underwhelming experience. The food redeemed the overall experience and, after all, that’s what matters most. Realizing that many restaurants are having trouble hiring and maintaining staff during these challenging times, we will visit again to give it another shot."
