"southern sweets was my favorite vegan dessert that I've ever had. the strawberry cake and the German chocolate should die and if they need a cake quickly, they can get a vegan cake day and /or stop it in for a disc. the only warning I have as someone who has tried almost all vegan cake here is that the caramel cake is too dry and too sweet, so I do not recommend it."

"We chose Iberian Pig for a belated birthday celebration and they did not disappoint! We took advantage of a round of cocktails before splitting a liter of sangria during our meal (great value for money). We got a few rounds of tapas and shared amongst the four of us and came away with a fair bill given the number of people and volume of food ordered. I mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a cute dessert unprompted that rounded out a great experience!"

"Coney McKanes only had one of the WORST eating experiences I had lately. Wife and I had decided to get out of the house and get the boys out for dinner. We went downtown to Coney McKanes and it's safe to say that we will never return. -Not my wife's order and my own were the wrong items - forget the order of our son completely -very rude server ... not sure if he embarrassed himself about the mess on the commands and then just double-down to make sure that it would be a bad experience for us or maybe he was just a bad day "

"Decided to try since we live close so we ordered through Door dash. Food was cold even in foil containers no warmth made not the way Mexican food is the queso dip was like milk. The food It seemed like it was stuff that they had made days before and they just microwaved it . Was not good at all after one bite I just was not even hungry to even try to eat the rest. We ordered for myself my husband and my daughter, even tried to warm things up but It didn’t make a difference will not be trying again. We got corn chicken tacos tamales a burrito Soft taco with a burrito 2 rice an refried beans guacamole salad?and Queso dip. We spent around $60 on a Friday night. I truly recommend not to rely on a good Mexican meal."

"Whenever I'm in decatur, I'm at anna thai and I'm always happy. we live in the bay of san francisco, which has many Thai restaurants, and I prefer anna thai in decatur! the owner/cook told me that he moved out of san francisco, which is good for decatur! the menu has a section for vegetarian options, but each of the participants can be made vegan on request. there are several starters that are also vegan. I think this is the best restaurant in the opposite for vegan eating."

"My fiancé and I decided to try out this place today and we were not disappointed. I had the Arepas De Camarón, and he had the Tacos De Carne Asada! We also got black beans and rice added to both of our orders as well. The music wasn't overbearing and the inside of the restaurant was cooled down just right on a warm day like this. Our waitress was very attentive and kind, and she answered all of our questions about the menu when we asked. We will most certainly be back at a later date! :"

"What a great find! Food that satisfied four very different palates. Flash fried deviled eggs, kale Caesar salad and seared salmon, quinoa salad grilled chicken, Italian sausage rigatoni, and of course, the World Famous Sprig Burger! Everything was awesome! The service was great. Did I mention the largest bourbon selection in Atlanta? Amazing. I had a Booker’s little book chapters 3 4. Fresh microbrews on tap including a cider and an oatmeal stout. What more is there in life? Dessert of course! A hot and fresh berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream finished off the evening."

"Brick Store Pub is a Decatur Square classic and, in my opinion, has the most beautiful furnishings in the city. The terraced seating and the eclectic bar feel are exceptionally well made, and between the Belgian bar and the outside seat (front and back) there are many possibilities for your culinary experience. Absolutely a good time. One thing I loved about Brick Store is the simplicity of the menu. They do not offer excessive amount of options, but you know that what you get will be consistent and well done. My brother and I have the classic burger and my friend the Perogies. Everything was delicious, though maybe something overpriced. As for the missing star, her service was not what he could be. There was a little Hiccup at the beginning with the host and seating, but that was good. It also took our server about five minutes to welcome us, and another five minutes to get out for the water. The uniforms (or their lack) also struck me as strange. The owners of the restaurant put so much work in a beautiful interior, but the representatives of this interior (the front of the house staff) were sports like Columbus State T-shirts, flanels and hoodies. Apart from the service speed and shabby dress, but it was a pleasant experience."

"This is an absolute gem of a place in downtown Decatur. Prepare to be transported to a French cafe. And their food, they have daily specials and a wonderful regular menu. Y'all know I love those places where everything on the menu is so tempting that you already know what you are ordering the next two or three visits. We had the special savory crepe, a delicious mix of chicken, sausage, goat cheese and wild rice, with a side of French onion soup. My favorite sandwich is the prosciutto ham, brie and apple on pretzel bread, which I always get with a side salad. Excellent wine list as you would expect. And those desserts... you have never had a macaron until you have had one at Alsace Cafe. They are melt in your mouth delicious. Do not miss an opportunity to visit!"

"This past Saturday, I was blown completely away by the ownership mentality, attention to detail, and unwavering desire to achieve guest satisfaction exhibited by F2O Assistant Manager Jaron. When I presented a loyalty/gift card for balance inquiry, I was informed that the program had been replaced by another, and the remaining funds could not be confirmed at POS. Jaron immediately joined the cashier at the register to determine the issue. Jaron leaped into action requesting my membership info and email address, assuring me he knew the person to call for resolution. When they had not answered or returned the call (probably due to it being Saturday at 8pm) Jaron stated he would follow up with me as soon as the call was returned. I was more than prepared to pay for today 's order and address the gift card issue on Monday, during corporate business hours. Before I approached the cashier to place my order,Jaron smiled and again assured me he would resolve the issue and get back in contact with me. He then utterly surprised me by offering to comp my purchase... WOW!!! I was already quite impressed by Jaron 's flurry of actions thus far, as well as the fact he deftly continued to run the shift simultaneously. Jaron 's above and beyond gesture to turn a problem into a solution, thoroughly warmed this retired District Manager 's heart! If I were still in the business, I would soooooooo steal this gem! Barely 10 minutes after leaving Fresh To Order with their delicious calamari and ale laced tenders, I received a call from Jaron. The corporate contact had returned his calls. She confirmed $66 was available on the card. Jaron informed me how to swap the old card for a new active one next week. I requested Jaron to use the updated info to charge my $23 purchase. Jaron again thanked me for my patience and understanding and stated this meal was on him for the inconvenience. Kudos again to Jaron for making customer satisfaction his priority. Kudos to Fresh To Order for facilitating an environment that nurtures ownership mentality and 'Can Do ' management... The food was excellent too!!"

"Best wings I?ve had in Atlanta. They are soo flavorful and not greasy! Did I mention it was juicy. I could bite in the chicken and juices dropped down my lip. I got the lemon pepper. He mariantes the chicken in fresh lemon juice and then adds seasoning. So it?s not the cheap lemon pepper sprinkles that?s overly salty. The wings are a nice size and not too big. Fries were amazing. Not greasy at all! This is a hidden gem in Atlanta. I can understand why it was voted one of top ten by Atlanta Journal Constitution. Because of staff shortages, you have to call ahead to dine in but the owner is doing to go orders! Please get some wings. You won?t be disappointed. I tried my friends Korean BBQ wings and they were delicious as well."

"Hoo boy. I was super excited to try this place out while spending the night in Decatur. My girlfriend had been raving about a different local eatery but after some research, we decided on this. First off, it's a cool place that's somewhat underground. That said, there's a really funky smell in the place. If you park on the main street, you'll be entering from the rear and have to walk the length of the restaurant to meet the greeter. The positives; our server was very personable and friendly. The beer selection and bar are both solid. Our appetizer, chickarones, were fantastic. The negatives; it smells pretty bad in there. All of the food we had aside of the chickarones were beyond bland an not seasoned. My girlfriend had the glazed roasted salmon with cheese grits and roasted brussels. Literally all of them were not seasoned. Zero salt. Zero pepper. The cheese grits were an abomination of southern cuisine. Had their not been glaze on the salmon, it would've had little flavor. Instead, the glaze gave you a glimpse of flavor ala La Croix water. I opted for a chicken caprese type sandwich. The only flavor on the sandwich was the balsamic glaze and it was in every 3-4 bites. The bread it was on was advertised as sourdough, if not mistaken and it was like the wonderbread of sourdough. The fried okra that I had as my side tasted old and stale. I really dislike leaving negative reviews but this was just absolutely mediocre. I should've taken the empty dining room as a warning but here we are."

"When I arrived to pick it up, the aroma in the restaurant was fantastic, and I couldn't wait to dig in. But when I opened the box in my car, I was quite disappointed. The cheese was unevenly placed, with very little in the middle of the pizza, and it was overcooked as well. Ideally, the cheese should be spread from the outside in for proper portioning; otherwise, it tends to pull away when you cut it. The toppings were tasty, except for the overly crunchy cheese, but the crust was the biggest letdown. I don’t mind thick crust if it's flaky and buttery, but this was like trying to chew through drywall—just terrible. I had to share the bad news: I really didn’t enjoy this pizza at all. Half of it ended up in the trash, and that was after I shared some with someone else. I gave it two stars instead of one because the staff was friendly and the restaurant itself was inviting and smelled great."

"Rating: 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5) The ambiance: not a white tablecloth type place, but still classy. The service: quite on point, although we had some trouble getting the attention of the servers when we needed serving spoons for a few dishes we wanted to share. The food: Well prepared and tasty. The heat was toned down a fair bit, likely to better match the local palette, and the sweetness was a tad higher than what one would have in India. One comes to the sister restaurant of a James Beard award winner with high expectations. While I had no complaints about the food, I did not find the dishes had much of a twist or being particularly inventive. While this kind of an Indian restaurant, that has a specific focus on street food, may be a novelty in the ATL area, this is not that much of a novelty from a global perspective. Most of the dishes were good. The two exceptions were the naan (I’ve had better at many Indian restaurants) and the gulab jamun (excessively sweet). The verdict: if you’re craving Indian food that is skillfully cooked and tasty, this is great! If you’re looking for some inventive Indian food, then this is not going to meet that expectation."

"Fellini's has been for years my go to pizza establishment for years that I have personally found to be the closest taste to a NYC pizza. But with their last score being an 80 and the last pizza I purchase looking as if the burnt it a little, may have me considering to find a new pizzeria. I am driving from Lithonia to the location in Decatur to pick up and not to mention the pie is NEVER cut equally, they need to get it together."

"It was my first time visiting this establishment. It was somewhat hard to find, but once we walked in it seemed welcoming. There wasn’t a host stand or anything so we weren’t sure where to go. Then we were greeted by one of the servers and told we could sit anywhere we wanted. The service was excellent, and the food was ok. I had a large shrimp Po boy sandwich. The sauce wasn’t great, but I’m not a fan of Mayo. The atmosphere is amazing and I’d be willing to try it again. PS, the smoking area is located right at the front door, so we had to walk thru a cloud of smoke going in and leaving the restaurant."

"Steinbecks was a cool pub with great food! Parking is plentiful in the back or just around the area, and even though it gets busy, the tables open up pretty fast. They tend to have different specials that all sound pretty good, but I went with their famous tower of power burger with eggplant fries. I didn't get a drink either, but heard from friends all the drinks were good! I can def see why the burgers are award winning the meat was cooked perfectly and was super tender and I loved the sauce that came with it. I should have gotten regular fries though because the eggplant fries were kinda disappointing and flavorless.Overall, Steinbecks was a decent place to go for a nice casual dinner with great staff, drinks, and food!"
