"The following text has already been published at Restaurant Kritik.de, where, as well as my profile data, already deleted. Nevertheless, corresponding data can still appear in the cache of some search engines, but this should only be a temporary phenomenon... Askitis, one of the firm sizes in the forbidden city. The often used name ’Edelgrieche’ is not fair to the restaurant. Apparently, we are implementing what can only be evaluated as a declaration of intent elsewhere. Greek cuisine as it is originally conceived, carefully and harmoniously developed with modern accents. Today, we were finally unable to complain about the obsessive relationship between public delays and our own roadmap. Warning strike it went even less than usual. Therefore travel with own tin box or wire eel. The boys with the stolen calves were clearly in advantage. Parking search in the Düsseltal would have described Alighieri as the eleventh hell circle.... The ambience suits the requirements, bright dark wooden tables with matching, unpadded chairs placed at a generous distance. The combination of red tile floor and pastel yellow walls, with damped illumination spreads a certain feel-good atmosphere, but for a longer stay I would recommend the padded benches along the walls. For a normal Tuesday evening the restaurant was very well visited, mostly young audience, couples but also ’bestager’ from the direct neighborhood. A reservation always seems necessary here. Very friendly were greeted with drinks first arrived. In addition to the usual softs and barley cold dishes, there is also an extensive wine map with interesting, partly autochthonous, Greek grape varieties. After our precision fighting team was complete, the order could quickly be placed. Shortly afterwards, ’s still gave crispy, baguette-like bread and garlic yogurt cream. The offer is quite wide, there is a three-course menue with two different mezedes, two main courses (fish or meat) and a dessert according to choice: Menu price 31,90 Euronen 2 mezedes according to choice from the entire mezedes selection Lammhaxe with Fava, green beans and lamb jus (single price 18,90) or whole Dorade Royal from the grill with rose pine The offers of the tables mainly include fish dishes, on the tables of which none of the tables can be seen, there are clearly appropriate performers. In addition to the diverse mezedes, the menu also includes classics such as bifteki, souvlakia or grill variations. However, not in the form of ’Pommesberg on grilled charcoal with onions and alibireis’. Two from our round had the menue, the rest served à la carte. SOUTZUKAKIA – Mini meat rolls with tomatoes Chilidip 4, MANITARIA GRATINE – with sheep cheese spinach gratinated mushrooms 4, CHTAPODI – Octopus Calamarisalat with olive oil and lemon 5, MOUSAKA – Aubergines Potato uprun with minced meat 4, PITAKIA – baked Filoteig bags with spinach and In addition to the two different menue main courses, three more main dishes were ordered: Grilled Dorade with leaf spinach and rosemary spices A large, juicy but not glazed breeding fish with a little leaf spinach and well roasted, intense rosemary spices. The lemon half, completely old school trapped in foody gauze, is practically... Variety of lamb haxe with fava, green beans and lamb jus Beautifully smooth, aromatic meat, the bone content could have been slightly smaller on creamy yellow pea puree. To this end, cooked puffs and, unfortunately, separate lambs with a high proportion of tomato. The colleague was still satisfied. Pork fillet, Metaxasauce, fresh mushrooms, and rice 16,50 Three neat, well done but juicy garned medallions on creamy tomatoes Metaxasauce with roast mushroom quarters and a pepper rice parrot. A good choice for colleagues. Grilled lamb skewers, rosemary spears, tzatziki and vegetables 18,50 A comparatively clear portion of two well-grilled lamb skewers, some peppery vegetables, strong tzatziki and the well-known rosemary grooves. Skaras Grillvariation Pork fillet, Souvlaki, Bifteki, Lamb chop, Potato slices and Tzatziki 18,90 Just as well as the other dishes, especially the bifteki with the cheese filling extremely juicy and aromatically seasoned. Amazingly, the potato slices are not easy to make pumice, but obviously self-made, outside delicate cross and inside with light bite, very good. At the end and due to the positive experience up to this, there should be some desserts: Tachini Pagoto – Sesame honey ice, angel hair, marinated figs, fig sauce 7,50 jaourtomelo Greek cream yogurt, cataific nest, thyme honey, nuts 5,50 Sokolatina – semi-liquid chocolate, again very well-converted fruits. These are very sweet but aromatic sesame ice cream, ingeniously combined with thread dough and figs. And the juicy intense chocolate with semi-liquid core. The service, professionally unobtrusive, friendly and just as livable as you can expect from the Greeks. Even if there was no quzo at the end, asceitis can only receive a clear recommendation. Unfortunately, I can't judge the price of the performance ratio as a hundred percent, as the cash bonus has lost me. Compared to the usual D ́dorfer Mondpreisen certainly fair."

"Food-wise, this is one of my favourite restaurants in Dusseldorf. It is so unique, flavourful and one has a myriad of options to choose from without it being too overwhelming. The list of cocktails is also superb, I highly recommend the Classic Mai Tai where...they light the sugar cube on fire. I have never seen that before and it made my experience more of a delight. For starters my husband and I ordered the Luang Prabang Vegetarian Plate for 2 for 13.50. Though what was on the plate was yum, it definitely is not value for money. I think it is better to order to entrees instead of this. The rolls wrapped in rice paper were flavourless and dry. The tempura type bites were good, though a tad oily. For our mains we ordered the Lab with fish and sticky rice, which is Laos’ national dish. It was soooo yummy and flavourful. I would come back for this meal. And definitely recommend it. I would also recommend our other dish, Mock with tofu. It was also delightful, though more on the spicy side, which I didn’t mind because it gave the meal a bit of a kick. Now, I would normally give this place five stars but have to go with a four because of the service. They are friendly and hardworking, no doubt, but how they handle cases that aren’t so straightforward could be improved. The owner is fantastic and deals with the problem head on and for that I am thankful. My husband and I came here the evening before Valentine’s Day and were so looking forward to it. Unfortunately upon arrival, the staff informed us that we had no booking, despite the fact that my husband could prove it. The young waiter seemed apologetic but also not bothered to deal with it so he said sorry, but you have to leave. That was unacceptable because there would be no way that we could eat elsewhere because it was a Saturday evening and we had no desire to walk from restaurant to restaurant in the rain hoping for a table. We waited a little while and luckily a table became free and we were able to eat there for one and half hours until the next reservation came. That was lucky that we got that table, though not excusable because we were already there for 30 mins just waiting. What would have made it better was if he had offered a drink while the manager came or anything rather than just keeping us awkwardly in front of the bar. Anyway, when the owner came, he was very sorry and offered us two drinks on the house which I really appreciated. Not because I wanted a freebie, but because he dealt with us well and we enjoyed our time in the end. I know mistakes happen all the time and that’s ok, I really value service when the management deals with it well and leaves a good taste in the customer’s mouth. For that reason, I will definitely come back here and try more cocktails and more yummy meals."
