"It 's alright... Used to be better, I must 've been eating here occasionally for 10 years now. Wish they reignite their passion and hire better staff. I 'm convinced this place stays open purely because of their marketing efforts and the fact that there are no better options in the immediate area. I give them a go maybe once a year and the last several times was disappointed. The food is good, nothing special but not terrible either. The quality of ingredients always concerns me. Last time they gave me the most brown avocado I 've seen in my life, that avocado has had a good life, got married, had kids, sent them to college, retired and decided to jump into my shrimp tempura roll, Christ it was brown and gross (see picture) that brown crud is an avocado that 's supposed to be yellow and green not brown and black. The whole place has a vibe to it that the owner is squeezing pennies out every chance he/she gets or they stopped carrying and the restaurant machine continues on without their effort. Yet the marketing is fantastic! You hear about Taos on the radio and local cross-promotion deals. They gave another customer my sushi, which I get it, it happens. But I still had to wait 10 minutes or so for a fresh batch. The menu has 2 Appetizers section, and 2 soup sections, which seems confusing. Maybe one is lunch and one is dinner? I truly believe this place can do better, they just need to relight their passion. Overall give them a go and decide for yourself."

"On September 1, 2022, our favorite Chinese restaurant, Ginger Blossom [hidden link] unexpectedly closed. They seemed to do well despite the pandemic, but changed ownership sometime in the last couple of years. The beginning of the end perhaps was the fact that since around July they did not have a sushi chef, but they also did some renovations in preparation of the return of dine in service that never seemed to materialize for them. Regardless, my wife and I would order take out every Friday the same five appetizers spring rolls, crab rangoons, pan fried meat dumplings, boneless spare ribs, and fried chicken fingers and some entree , and the staff got to become familiar with me as a result. Is that a good thing or not? Super disappointing to see them go. I realized recently that I never reviewed them, but I would have given them four stars. In the weeks since, we've been trying to find a new Chinese restaurant that could possibly hold a candle to Ginger Blossom without being too far away. So far we have tried Main Garden [hidden link] , Hong Kong Garden [hidden link] , and Mandarin Wilbraham [hidden link] , in decreasing order of quality with regards to the aforementioned food. Most recently we tried Ichiban East Longmeadow, and so far their food has been the best of the four, but still lacking in portion size. Their General Tso's chicken was much spicier than Ginger Blossom's, that's for sure! So our search continues on for a Chinese restaurant on par with Ginger Blossom, but for those like us who frequented Ginger Blossom, Ichiban East Longmeadow seems to have good quality food."

"I went to jack chen ii after having spent the day at six flags new england. I found it on my happy cow app. there are not many vegan options in the opposite, it was late and we starve. it is a tiny bit of space to take and not a restaurant with sitting, waiter or alcoholic drinks. we ate our eating on polystyrene plates with plastic forks. I am vegan and the first thing I noticed was that the owner (who took my order) did not know what was vegan. Although it is true that they have a lot of fake meat, there is no way to check that they are actually vegan I personally do not trust to go back enough and I would not go back. we ordered something to eat in the restaurant and it was ok. definitiw oily, unhealthy, as I said, I am not convinced that it was vegan, even after the conversation with the owner about what I needed (no chicken meat, eggs, fish sauce etc.) we were really hungry for six flags, so we ordered a vegetable frying rice I gave them only 2 stars because the portions were large, they have at least since then soy protein and most places have not, so maybe they try? I do not recommend this restaurant and I would recommend finding something else to eat. I will not eat the rest I hate. the worst part of my experience came when I wanted to use the bathroom. I wish I never asked. the bathroom was dirty the sink was filled with dingen and unusable. I had to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom that was a vegan nightmare. I do not exaggerate when I say that there are huge buckets filled with blood meat long **** gloves around the whole place. I felt like it was something that they would see in a slaughterhouse, and it totally turned around and made me wish I never had eaten there. I felt sick. I don't know why they were so bad, but I didn't have to see it. this is definitiw no vegan friendly establishment."
