"I'm not back! They were here twice, both times to see the better Daze Duo. Saw the music on the outside terrace on a warm December evening. There were some larger tables that were filled out, burning 2 small fire pits and not much happened inside. The music kept us there. I saw the better Daze Duo play back there, so I brought 4 friends to give this place another shot and have dinner. The musicians were set up in the bar this time. A birthday party of 10-12 ladies celebrated, there were 3 more tables with people and a few sat at the bar. We ordered every dinner and had great seats to see the band and watch how people dance, ask for songs and have fun. About 1 1/2 hours later, someone asked for an 80-rock song from Def Leppard. At the end of the song, the manager (or possibly the owner) leaned over the drummer/singer, Jack Fontana, and screamed that they need? turn off the music or just go?. We all looked at each other in unbelief. A friend told the manager that we brought people here to see them play, and that was just the liveliness we were seeing in this place. Better Daze respectfully committed and turned her sound off. What a downturn in the atmosphere and this place needs all the energy it can get. The birthday group still danced a few songs, but her fun was over. What our dinners, 3 of us had seafood, one had a burger and another had a salad. I asked my friends for their food testing. The spring salad was good, but nothing stood out. The burger was a little rare for others, but he ate it. The Aubergines seafood were good and probably the best of orders. The Calamari order was not cooked enough and had to be sent back. I am glad to have given this place a second attempt because I was not impressed by the first visit. When you see how the manager has acted, it confirms why this place does not involve people. This is not the place to bring your friends out for a pleasant night. It is more for the over 70s people who want a quiet place to sit alone. Feels like a dying club. The 5 of us do not go back unless the music can be played as intended. A pianist and a harp can be all these managers want. Find another option for dinner and atmosphere!"
