"I visited with family in March 2022, and we all enjoyed the experience. The food was good (particularly the coleslaw, fried shrimp, and fries). I didn’t expect the hush puppies to have a bit of a kick to them, but they were still good. The only downside was that we had to wait in line for quite a while, which made this less of a “quick bite” and more of a regular restaurant dinner as far as the time it took to get our food (and also the cost of the food). I would visit again, but I would be more prepared this time to stand in line for a while!"

"We had the classic burgers, the shrimps Tacos and the rubber bears. Everything was tasty and I especially loved the rubber bear; one of the best I had in Louisiana. Our server was friendly and attentive. Outdoor seating were really nice; I have some mosquito bites."

"I wanted to try this place since I moved it five years ago. Friendly customer service. Only they didn't make double rice. And it is a bummer no chips and salsa with to-go orders. Except this great experience. The food is delicious. The Taco shells don't get all soggy. They stay delicious and crispy. Will definitely recommend."

"I ordered the delivery from here at a night when I believed pizza. It came warm with a wealth of blows. I prefer my pizza hot, but as the delivery lasted over an hour, I thought I ordered in a very busy night. I'm glad I tried Marios. It's one of my first times with pizza under the cheese. So it cheers to try something new. I want to give them another try and dive. You have a special on Wednesday, that sounds it for pizza and pasta appetite. That's her version of a Supreme. "We decided to try this restaurant for dinner based on the positive reviews and reasonable prices. We were so glad we did and will definitely make it a regular stop when dining in Galveston. The fried mushrooms were delicious and the cheese bread with Alfredo sauce was a hit. We also tried the Texas-sized paprikash, which was so large that everyone could only manage a single piece."

"Hidden Valley Hair My boyfriend and I recently had a bad experience at this place. We sat at the bar upstairs and we ordered the shrimp kisses. To my disbelief after taking several bites and dipping my kisses into the ranch dressing, I saw something that no one should ever see... Yes it was a short black curly hair, one that comes from the nether region!!!! I was in complete disgust and trying not to vomit while showing the bartender my Hidden Valley Hair.. he held back his laugh in an awkward situation while taking the plate back to show the manager. I was credited for that plate but we will not go back. I am writing this to bring awareness of what may be lurking in your food at this place. After reading this, would YOU dare to dip at West End Marina Restaurant?"

"that was one of the first places where someone took me when I moved to Texas and I was still back here. abandoned bar atmosphere with a large terrace. the menu is not huge, but they do everything right. they don't call in cash food. it's legit. "Walk through the door and it smelled bad, the building looks run down, there was a big swamp cooler fan right next the table we were set at then the menu came and everything was extremely overpriced. It would have cost a minimum of $90 to eat a meal with 2 adults and 2 children, the atmosphere was not right for that"

"A literal hole in the wall deli, but they make a damn sandwich. My wife and I shared two paninis a reub and an island period (Junge Huhn, Ananas, Gouda, Avocado, red onion on a Jalapeño cheddar bungalow). Both were great, especially the latter. My wife also loved the fresh kombucha, and they also served fresh iced tea. At the moment there are unfortunately a few scaffolds in front of the square, which makes it hard to see. But it is definitely worth looking for a great bite!"

"We chose to eat outside where the views of the harbor and dolphins are great! Our Lobster Bites were a delicious way to start the meal, then we continued on with an authentic Clam Chowder. I highly recommend the Stuffed Shells with crab and spinach, because the combination of the Bechamel sauce and red pepper reduction were mouth-watering! Our server was attentive and the food came out promptly. Unfortunately a table nearby had a very vociferous child which dimmed the peaceful outdoor experience. (Nothing that was the fault of the proprietors)"

"I went to Shearn’s for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. I had just discovered the restaurant on-line. I requested a table by the windows, and wow, what an incredible view. It’s gorgeous there. The ambiance is equally inviting. The hostess and all the servers were so welcoming and friendly. They made us all feel really special and gave us not just excellent food and drinks, but a wonderful and memorable experience. Food: 5"

"Booked Saturday night for my husbands birthday. Was excited to see Chateau Briand on the menu. Called to find out about dress code and was asked about the special occasion. Assured that husband would be getting a dessert for his birthday. Arrived and it is very nice. However, Table was not fully set. There were only wine glasses on the person table. A couple of our guests were in the restroom but they knew to bring menus however only filled water glasses with room temperature water. Had to flag the server down for the extra water and ask for ice. Service was painfully slow. After getting our drinks and ordering appetizers. We did not see our waiter again to order our main course until he brought the appetizers. Food came out cold. Food was just ok. Everything was under seasoned. What they call potato purée was not smooth as you would expect a purée to be. This was the only hot dish of the night. It was very plain and the thick. No taste of butter or cream. A manager came by and apologized about the cold food and offered to bring out more but at this point we had been there for two hours. He said he would bring a dessert cart by for the table. It never happened. We told our server to bring the check. He didn’t mention anything about my husband’s birthday either. We reminded him that the manger said we could have dessert and he said Oh, I thought you were ready to leave. It took another minutes to bring out our desserts. They were the best part of our meal. We were so ready to get out of there. Bottom line is we will not return. For what we paid there are better choices on the island"

"Food was too salty. Outside smelled like toilet cleaner. Service was fast, effective, and friendly! We each got platters that had a sampler of a variety of items. Many of mine on the bourbon platter were so salty I could not eat them. This was less of a problem for the fried seafood platter. Fries on that one were not well cooked. No ketchup was available on the table though it did come with a peppered cocktail sauce. We were seated outside yet somehow it smelled like a bathroom that had been newly cleaned with cheap products. I'm not sure what the origin of the smell was. The service was fantastic! Prompt and very friendly!"

"this place was highly recommended by the owner of the RV resort in which we lived. my wife and I agree that this was one of the best meals we had in galveston. the service was excellent, the staff was helpful and very pleasant as the owners. the place is a family business and operated business and everything is made by scratches and by own recipes. the prices were very modest and did not reflect in any way the superior quality of food and services. we paid the half as much as we were in other restaurants on the island. We also thought the decoration and music was very pleasant. the old school academies gave everything a very nice note. I highly recommend this place when they are in galveston and wish a good quality meal at an excellent price. this will be absolutely on our list of places to go."

"well, the staff has thought very well that there was only 1 waitress. the building is pretty nice on the inside, although it feels like it was earlier a circuit city or another large box electric shop. the location is not...idyllic it is on the bay side of the island on the busiest road. the view of the water is not pleasant. eating was okay, but not as brilliant as most hooters. it tries to feel like a hooter with an excellent wood floor and deck, but the ambiente is not quite there."
