"Truth is our first stay was fine and I did put up a review with 4 small stars. The clear positive was the steaks. Negatives thst day was raw knuspriges bratkartofeln which just aren 't okay. Also, i did complain about the lack of seasoning, whoch would have made the steaks even better. In these times forced to use some poor quality salt. I advises that they could perhaps throwbsome flakey sea salt on the steak for flavour and presentation or maybe lay something at the side of the plate. Well the stay overall was fine. Second time though was poor. One in my group of 4 ordered the steak once again. It was once again well made. However, my mother and I chose the Spareribs, which turned out to be a bad decision. They were presented very badly. Dry, no sauce and at first bite no flavour. We did get a bbq sauce as a side, but there was honestly only enough for one side of a rack (out of two . Poorly made and I have to say that i do hope this restaurant either remove them entirely and stick to what they actually have succes with or really do better at making them (where 's the marinade??? Another negative and just bad behaviour was the waiter. No professionalism. After eating there was junk from the ribs laying around the table and when he came to clean he just wiped it down onto the floor. Let me remind you. There was bbq sauce on these scraps... And no he did not come back to get these scraps. Honestly disappointed and disgusted. Tl;dr a lot of negatives from two visits. I do not recommend the place for other than the steaks. Don 't order the ribs. Disgusting behaviour from (one of the waiters."

"Short holiday in Goslar and Quedlinburg, nice hotel in Goslar near the old town, after two and a half hours drive through a lot of landscapes quickly furnished in the hotel and then to the old town: Hunger! The large market square of Goslar and the entire old town with the approximately 1,500 historic half-timbered and slanted houses from various centuries in the old town centre are already very impressive and were rightly declared a World Heritage Site. But first of all, our hunger impressed us. We didn't want to look for a long time and so we drove the Historical Café Am Markt. The large terrace in front of the house we didn't want to use, a cool wind drove us into the café. The first impression inside: Very cozy with the sofas, padded chairs, old cabinets and many historical pictures on the walls. We could take a seat on a window table overlooking the market square. The cake counter offered a wide selection of delicious looking cakes and cakes. But at the moment, I wasn't in a sense of courage. The small menu was ready on the table. The offers range from Schnitzel to liver cheese, wild roast sausage, frikadelle, Roulade, Königsberger Klopse, trout and other various warm and cold snacks to the giant curry sausage. Here you will probably be able to satisfy the appetite of as many tourists as possible. All tables are covered with fabric table cloths. On a table display the seasonal offer: 350 g of fresh German asparagus, large portion (crude weight 350 g with salt potatoes and sauce Hollandaise or butter for 12.90 €. And that's what I wanted to do now, because this year I had only once asparagus before. My friend chose sweets, for a classic: fresh waffle with vanilla ice cream, cream and cherries (4.90 €). The friendly service lady accepted our order, for me there was a 0.2 cola for 2.20 € and for my friend a milk coffee for 3.20 €. The drinks came quickly to our table. The wafer was first served after a suitable waiting period. My girlfriend expressed herself very positively about it: pleasantly sweetened, loose consistency with pleasant “outer skin”, even the cream and the cherries not too sweet (so not necessarily for me, who likes it very sweet, a portion to get satt. My asparagus came significantly later, but what was to be expected when it was freshly prepared. Five well peeled, thick rods filled the oval plate, in the middle over it the sauce Hollandaise, which was a finished product (although of good quality, plus the salt potatoes. The asparagus was tastefully very good and wonderfully crisp as I love it. I don't really need the sauce for the asparagus, but for the potatoes, because I don't eat potatoes without sauce. Therefore it must also be a finished product if it tastes as good as this. Conclusion: We did not find the prices for this tourist hotspot as covered, the food tasted, the ambience pleased us, the service was very friendly, careful and competent. We'd go back here."
