"The best burger I have eaten....... I had heard about Burgh'ers and how delicious the burgers here were so this past Friday, my boyfriend and I ventured on the thirty minute drive north to partake in the alleged deliciousness. We almost drove right by it as it's in a strip mall-not exactly where you would think a gourmet burger joint would be located. So we went in and it was packed, although it is a very small space so that seems like it must be the case most of the time. We initially put our name in for a table, but we noticed 2 seats at the bar becoming empty so we just decided to sit there for the evening. The bartender was quick and friendly. They had a nice selection of craft beer on draft and I chose a Full Pint White Lightening as did my boyfriend. I noticed in addition to the regular food menu, they had some specials. A camel burger was the wild game burger of the night. They also had a dish containing veal brains. And a pumpkin salted caramel milkshake. We both decided to just stick with regular menu items. I went with the Hamptons Burger (smoked gouda, bacon, caramelized onion, BBQ aioli, roasted chilies). I like they give you the option of a side salad or fries. I went with the fries but the side salads looked like they had craisins and blue cheese on them so they were a little above the norm. The fries were very salty but they were pretty good. The burger was the ABSOLUTE BEST burger I have ever eaten in Pittsburgh! The bacon was very thick, the carmelized onions plentiful, the chilies not overpowering. And it was cooked to perfection at a medium temp. It was pretty messy to eat but it was well worth it. My boyfriend went with the familiar-the Shadyside Burger (swiss, bacon, caramelized onion, sautéed mushroom, mayo), also with fries. He said it too was the best burger he has eaten in Pittsburgh. The burgers are a little steep at $11.99 each but the quality is very consistent with the price point. They also have a BYO option in addition to other sandwiches, craft hot dogs, and other appetizers. I highly recommend visiting Burgh'ers even though it is 30 minutes away it's well worth the drive up north."
